Well sometimes. It depend on what it is about. If it's about your favorite games, then no.
If it's about the best kind of pancakes, then yes.

I don't care...but it is always interesting to look at them. Sometimes I see things I might otherwise never have heard of. So, while it is just someones opinion listed in numerical order...it still has some entertainment value.

They are certainly overdone, and I dislike the authority they tend to assume with their titles (Top Ten Best Games Ever! etc.). However, they're a simple way to express a list of personal preferences, easy to write, and can help introduce people to things they may not have heard of before. They're handy I suppose, although a lot of the time they seem to overestimate their own importance.
It depends on what it is. If it is about the top twenty brands of toe-nail clippers, then hell no. If it is about the top twenty violence-packed movies of the year that you really need to see, then yes.
Most of those lists are created and organized just to cause arguments and debates. It's a massive conspiracy to turn us all against each other.
I find them interesting to read. I always take them with a grain of salt though because my tastes of games are not the same as anyone else though. My top 10 list would include a Harvest Moon game because it is an enjoyable series to me. I like Afrika because I am the target demographic, but it is going to be on a few of the 10 worst games of the year.
What I hate is when they assign numbers to top 10 lists. It always gets into convoluted bs about why X game should be ranked higher then Y game. I prefer no numbers at all because it tells people these games are what I consider to be my tops and I do not rank them because I like them all equally.

Most are terrible.
