I'm sorry if this topic was already made, this is my first attempt at one.
And, yes, search bar approved, sort of.
I'll say right now, if you want a Treyarch-bashing rant, this isn't one. Actually, being the most rabid IW fanboy out there, I constantly end up defending their titles at different forums. My question is plain and simple: Do Tretarch honestly deserve the hate they get? I'll separate that in two parts, perhaps.
---Treyarch as a video game developer---
Treyarch's non-COD games are lesser know righ now but that doesn't change the fact that there were some pretty good ones. Enter the Spider-Man series, most notably, Spider-Man 2, a game even praised by Yahtzee. It isn't the greatest game of all-time, per say, but for a license game it's pretty damn good, actually.\
Their other games aren't particularly new so let's take one that I'm sure most of you know. Quantum of Solace. Although higly based on IW's engine, it was another solid title, even better than the movie, IN MY OPINION (feel free to debate me on that).
---Treyarch as a COD developer---
Again, a rabid IW fanboy here but I must admit, I do like the other COD games. First, enter Call Of Duty: United Offensive, the best expansion pack I've ever seen, developed by Gray Matter Interactive which was merged into Treyarch in 2005. This game I still believe to be the best non-IW Call Of Duty title.
I haven't played the Big Red One thing-y, so the next is Call Of Duty 3. A carbon copy of the second game but with pretty graphics and some really nice things. Sure, the QTEs felt unnecessary but the characters were very very memorable (Private Leslie Baron and Sergeant Mike Dixon, for example) and while it started out pretty boring, the last few missions were absolutely incredible.
Next, Call Of Duty: World At War, a game that I also happen to like. While exactly like COD 4, the game was notably darker and much more serious. The music was incredibly unsettling, so much so, that I couldn't stand navigating through menus. And the characters, while not as memorable, still stood out. Also, multiplayer was good, coop was good and Nazi Zombies was great. I did find the DLCs to be overwhelming but overall, it was a nice enough game.
Feel free to debate any of this but remember, all of this is my personal opinion and I'm not forcing it onto anyone. Cheers and have a nice day.

It looks like IW and Treyarch are at conflict again. While I think that IW aren't too right there, Reflex does look pretty underwhelming.
So I do agree with IW, the Wii is most definitely not the console for Call Of Duty. My apologies to the fans of the console, but I seriously want to prove the people at "gonintendo.com" that it's not IWs fault that your precious console is "two GameCubes stacked together".
Still, kudos to Treyarch. They've at least tried.
