Poll: TV on the Net

I was thinking the other day. A lot of content is on the web (The Escapist alone has a dozen short shows). Then it occurred to me "hey TV should be on the Internet". Then it occurred to me again it already is on some Television networks websites. There is also Hulu.com and animefreak.tv, so how do you feel about this, and how do you think it will shape up to be.

Personally, I would pay more for less ads or see an option (like choose to pay/per/view or watch 15 min of commercial for every hour of TV).

Oh, just remembered an episode of Star TrekS9, the one where Sisko, Bashier, and Dax get stuck the 2028(?) in the homeless prison and the Internet is the only media available.

They pretty much already have merged. I barely watch any TV, and if I want to watch an episode of something, I go on the Internet to do it. The TV is so obnoxious and irrelevant.

My fella uses Tvlistings website because the signal in his room is crap. I couldn't live without my iPlayer, so I think it's a good thing.

I have a TV... it serves as my monitor so I can watch my shows online.

personally i'd like them to stay seperate, then i can play games on my pc and watch tv at the same time, always a good cotch.

I voted for merging and the end of physical media.. that said, I think it'll be a long time coming

The only thing I use the TV for nowadays is to play games.

You can find whatever you want to watch online at any time.

everything costs money and consumer demand for it is there, so sadly not paying for it is not an option.
