So I've noticed that when it comes to the tv volume lots of people have different quirks, a lot leave it on an even number, some people only use multiples of five. I personally like prime numbers, but I'm a little OC and it's not a mandatory requirement.

Do you have any volume requirements.

I really couldn't care less about my volume but my boyfriend has to have it on a multiple or two or five.

I adjust it so I like the sound and I can hear it without the neighbours also hearing it. That's about all.

I don't really pay attention to the numbers, except as an indication of how loud it's going to be before I switch to the input that the sound is actually coming out of. For example, I once accidentally turned my surround sound system on at +80 something. My roommate literally thought a plane had crashed into the building. I usually try to keep it between -25 and 0, but that's just because anything above reference level is ridiculously loud, and anything below -25 gets hard to hear. I don't have any real pattern within those numbers; I just turn it to whatever sounds best, and isn't loud enough that I'm worried about a noise complaint.

I would really like to set my speakers' volume to imaginary numbers, but I haven't figured out how.

As long as it's between "wait, what are they saying?" volume and "oh my god my ears are bleeding" volume I frankly couldn't give a ha'penny jizz about the specific number

Multiples of five. I usually have it at 15, or 20/25 if I'm watching a dvd. If anyone tries to turn up the volume to 18 or something, I tell them to fix it.

So glad I'm not alone!

As long as I can hear the pornography, I don't really care all that much about the volume number.

Now, when it comes to the twisty-knob on my computer speakers on the other hand...

I've noticed that most go with a multiple of 5. It really screws with me when there are no numbers, have to find a new pattern. Funnily enough, the tvs without numbers on the volume meter aren't sold anymore, let that be a warning!

I consider myself especially odd in this regard, and generally have to have the volume set to multiples of 3. This also applies for stereos. But not any multiple of 3, no. There are some I don't like. For example, I would never allow the volume to be set at 33, but 32 is acceptable. 31 or 34, are not. So there is no definite rule about what I'll have the volume set to, but I know what I don't want it at

Nope, don't follow any pattern. I generally find a volume level I like on whatever it is, and stick with that most of the time.
