I quite liked it. His interview on Good Morning America is a quote mine.

"Bi-winning".
"Droopy eyed, armless children".

There are quite a few shows I watch regularly that I would hesitate to describe as "good", but are very watchable...and there's nothing wrong with that.
This guy is a walking internet MEME machine! O_O I suspect we're going to be hearing these in MANY multiplayer games for years to come! Plus anything else that drops out of his mouth brain. ._.

Wow, that's even unfunnier than the show.
The canned laughter we're used to hearing in shows like this is a subliminal tool. Ever notice how we're much more inclined to laugh at something when someone else laughs? We can even realize, "man, that wasn't THAT funny, but hah!" Laugh tracts are critical in sitcoms because even when they fail at delivering their low grade humor to their target demographic (for which they believe their low grade humor is perfect for), they need to remind their audience that this scene is funny. If they're not thinking, they'll be more inclined to believe it's funny.

But it's not like it's hypnotism or anything. A tiny bit of thought behind "is this funny" will break the subliminal suggestion.

edit, oops, I quoted the wrong guy. Uh, you just imagine this was for you and that this message I quoted fits what I'm talking about. :)

I like it. It consistently makes me laugh, even though it replays the same jokes over and over. Haha, Charlie Sheen is a womanizer. Haha, the cleaning lady has good one-liners. I don't know what it is - I'm expecting the joke, I'm not surprised when it arrives, but I still find it funny. Predictable yet enjoyable.

I like it, I think its funny.

Probably because I'm vastly less intelligent than you.

From the few times I've watched it I found it utterly unfunny. So it failed to me. Doesn't mean I hate it, just that the show doesn't elicity any laughter from me.

My brother and my dad like it, but I can't really say that it has engaged me to a point where I will actively go out of my way to watch it. I can kinda see why other people might like it, but it isn't one of my preferences.

I like it.
It's not comedy gold, it's nothing groundbreaking, but it's entertaining to me. That's all I need from a TV show.

It used to fill some time but once the jokes were getting recycled for the third time and their was no new content I lost interest quickly, so I'd have to say meh, but when I first saw it, it was good enough to keep me coming back whenever I saw it was on assuming there wasn't anything I genuinely really liked or I had the motivation to immerse myself in a game or a book.

It almost never made me laugh though, but sitcoms don't generally, not even particularly good ones.

tl;dr : It's a bit shit now.

OK, first thread.

Every time I read about Two and a Half Men, 9 out of 10 comments show pure hatred for the show. I just wanted to see what people on the Escapist think of it.

And while we're here, why do you like/dislike/not care about it?
Now are they for the show, or for Charlie Sheen? Cause theres a different of criticizing an actor and a show.

OT: Its oka. I mean, I could watch it, but its nothing particularly funny or new.

But seriously, this one clip pretty much summarized the problem I have with every sitcom I've ever seen.

EDIT: But I did laugh, and I couldn't honestly tell you whether it was at the show itself or at the meta-humor.

It was good when the kid was still cute. Course, the only time I see it on is when my mother is watching television, and its usually "meh, its on, its tolerable... I'm just waiting to use the television to watch something interesting, like Lie to Me or change it to Doctor Who reruns." Two and a Half Men is on in one of those weird timeslots where nothing else intersting is one where I am, so, yeah.

Course, Chalie can only get into so much trouble with his sea of exes and his boozen lifestyle before it gets grating, Allen can only be the but monkey for so long until it stops being funny and starts being horrifying, and Jake has morphed into this unlikable brat. Even with the secondary characters... why does Burta still have a job? Why excatly did Judith divorce Allen again? How much more of a sociopathic ***** can Evelyn be? Why hasn't Charlie gotten a restraining order placed on Rose? This shit gets stupid.

It's ok. Not the best, good filler between that show that just got moved to Thursday and Mike and Molly, but with only M&M left I'll just show up at 9:30

I just feel bad for the kid, he's forever typecast as the fucking retard, maybe he's actually good at something, but we'll never see him in anything other than the dumb pothead role now. And I KNOW Alans actor can do better

For me, every time Charlie Sheen or the woman opened their mouth I wanted to just end it all and down a bottle of bleach.

However whenever the little fat kid opens his mouth I wanted to leap through the screen and pull his cheeks off Ichi the Killer style.

The only time I've ever laughed at that excuse for a sitcom is when it's being mocked:

If you want to see a GOOD sitcom that's actually controversial enough to be both funny and touching, nothing comes close to All in the Family.

I watched it once and I hated it almost immediately, a feeling that persisted to the end of the show.

I think Leonidas said it best: "This! Isn't! Funny!"

I can't say that I vehemently hate this show but I do dislike it, quite a bit. It may not be a fair assessment based on the fact that I've only seen 4-5 episodes but I was not amused or entertained at all.

Some of my friends genuinely like the show so I try not to be that guy who rips in to the show while they're all talking about last night's episode. Still, I'm not a fan of this sitcom and I wouldn't be put off if it didn't come back.

Who knows, maybe I watched the wrong 4-5 episodes.
