Yep, my internet is pretty notoriously unreliable.

I think this constant discrimination against those with mediocre internet connections and no ways to acquire better ones is a really stupid policy, and pirates will probably crack it soon anyway.
huhu that's true...

Bullshit.

How could they possibly think that this could ever be a good idea? HOW!?

Seriously, when the fuck will these idiotic developers learn? The only thing that you're doing is pissing your (formerly legimate) customers off!

Whatever, they'll learn [small](or not)[/small] when this comes back to bite them in the ass and all their sales drop nearly 98%, with the other 1% being ignorant parents that don't bother doing research on games before buying them, and the remaining 1% being the people that will be pirating the games to make them playable without going through the bullshit of DRM.

I wouldn't mind it. It is better than a DRM, but it kinda sucks that I cant travel or play when my internet is down.

Yes I agree. Just another reason, to add the the already existing mountain of reasons, why I don't like Ubisoft very much.

If they want more profits they could try listening to their customers more.

It won't stop the pirates. It will just stop people like me from playing it. I almost always play things single player which means that, after I turn the router off for the night, I want to still be able to play them in offline mode. Basically thats several games that I won't be buying (probably wouldn't have anyway but it's given me another reason).

This won't work. In fact i think this may be WORSE that microsoft and EA's install limitaions
indeed, i see this as a matter of privacy violation, because they'll know if you are or aren't on internet also...

and as furburt said, it's discriminatory!
