I used to watch a long time ago.
Eventually I just kinda lost interest.
Watched again... found no humor and did not watch again.

I think they were trying to see if anyone really cares about the characters or not. Did I think it was a terrible episode? No. Did I find it very odd? Yes. I didn't see after they walked out of the vault, but my opinion is that this episode was an experiment. I like the older episodes, when Stewie wasn't gay and was murderous and sadistic. Probably one of my least favorite episodes though. Not terrible, but not the Family Guy I love.

I was kinda distracted when I was watching it but I did come in as Brian was eating Stewie's poop, then I turned off the TV because it was evident that TV had just hit a new low.

It used to be a pretty damn good show. Then Seth MacFarlane got complacent and just started turning out crap episode after crap episode. The funny gags of the early seasons gave way to cut aways that made no sense and were not even close to being funny. I can't really stand to watch any of these new episodes because they are so blatantly stupid and so blatantly liberal. Why can't it be like South Park where it makes fun of everyone? Why does Brian get so much screen time? Why isn't Stewie trying to take over the world anymore? Why is Peter just a big dumbass with no redeeming qualities? What happened Seth? Did you think that you could get away with anything? Aye. I still watch the old episodes when the show hit its stride, but I only really watch the new ones just out of sheer desperation to see if there is something funny in them, which there isn't!

Family guy is trying to use 2 different types of humor at the same time. They are trying to appeal to young teenagers while creating jokes that poke fun at things that most viewers don't even know, the viewers being teenagers. All these jokes seem to be coming from things that happened in the 80's and early 90's. Teenagers for the most part won't find it funny simply because they don't get the joke.
But yeah I have to admit, I knew some of those jokes and I didn't find them funny. I think they should focus more on modern things and try to create humor without so much cut-to-randomness stuff. Obviously that's what everyone is saying.

I actually liked that actually went somewhere with the show, though they could of ended it 30 minutes

It really touched me, well the ending did any way.
Suicide and purpose and life--heavy stuff that's on my mind alot.
But I learned that sometimes being there for someone else is purpose enough.

I picked the first option because I thought it was more pointless than disgusting. True, the poop eating was disgusting, but it did show that Stewie really is evil, which it seems like the writers forgot about. Stewie went from miniature Hitler to homosexual, and Brian went from cynic to idealist to spineless douchebag. The only reason I watch the show is for Mayor West, Quagmire, Chris, and occasionally Tom Tucker. All the other characters are gross or retarded, ESPECIALLY Herbert. The show was actually getting better lately, which is why this one is so disappointing. They only did a 150th episode because of the impact South Park's 200th episode made. They copied the premise from an episode of Monk, and the cockles joke is from Dennis Leary, which means it probably belongs to Louie CK. Two good lines in the whole show, both from Brian-

"I do like puke."

"I voted for McCain."

The moral at the end was the kind of thing South Park stopped doing a while ago, and I didn't like it any better then. When they said they were finishing with musicals, I got on the computer and listened to see if there were any good jokes in between. Seth McFarland needs to stop indulging his inner theatre queen. I guess it would have been alright if they replayed their version of the Oompa-Loompa song, that was the only musical number I liked.

This is why I like American Dad much better.

Also, wouldn't they have suffocated?

It sounds pretty bad, disgusting and disturbing and all from the fucked up heads of some losers who get high to come up with lame jokes. And also why do they still show that stupid time wasting gag where someone gets injured and then goes "SHHHHHH AHHHHH!" on the ground holding their knee for about a minute and a half? It wasn't funny the first time and it sure as hell isn't funny a second time.

Yeah that does sound awful... and awful comedy. I liked the first couple of seasons of Family Guy and that's really about it. They were very witty.

Personally I think Western animation could pick up a pthing or two from newer Anime titles ... not much mind you ... but the fact that a series has one or two seasons in it and then you should MOVE ON ....

Lucky Star anime translation was brilliant ... 24 episodes and it managed to tell it's story well enough and give all the characters all the development they needed to literally take the piss out of anime, manga and youth culture.

Another season was unnecessary ... but Family Guy will be one of those shows you know will just keep going till it is only appreciated by the infantile and social rejects of the 'West'.

The first part was decent, like the actual episode; However, the musical crap I hate enough in the Brian & Stewie episodes so I didn't even try sitting through that.

I stopped watching Family Guy around season 5. They just started recycling jokes and I got bored. Judging by your description of the 150th episode, I haven't missed much.

I think that judging this particular episode as a comedy would be a mistake. This episode was meant to be a deep look at the two characters of Brian and Stewie and was meant to be dramatic. I actually was moved by the end because of the constant love/hate relationship between Brian and Stewie that has been around as long as the show. It was interesting to think about the growth of these two characters and their friendships during this episode. Also, I thought it was poetic that on the 150th episode (which is a BIG deal btw) the entire thing was simply the creator of the show talking all by himself (he does the voices for both Brian and Stewie) about his characters that have become, whether we like it or not, pop culture icons.
