You scored 14 out of a possible 24.

Fortunatly being as i was born in the UK, my parents, grandparents and great grandparents were all born here and i have served in the UK armed forces, i can safely assume that i wont be kicked out anytime soon.

Jemal who lives in my attic with his 4 wives and 7 children might be, but i think it would infringe on his human rights.

And it's not like genocidal maniac's have any place better to go is it?

What is wrong with that test? Ask things like the name of the Queen and national day. Not things like that word on q.

7/24 and swedish
The stuff that on that isn't known by the majority of UK residents, and it's not something you'd really need for daily life. Also there's pretty much nothing about the queen or the system of government..which there should be more of in my opinion.

They don't really educate us on how our electoral system works in schools anyway, so how anyone under the age of 18 is supposed to know how by elections work is beyond me.
This was really visible in the AV referendum earlier this year...everyone seemed to think it was really complicated & less fair than our current system.

what!? I really hope this test was not serious as that is pathetic...
:O 23? How?! I'm fairly sure that it's serious, but they're reforming the test. Whether it'll get better or worse is entirely up for debate.

I doubt the average citizens knows even half of that stuff
The maths doesn't add up, 10/24 = 42%

you,re right I think the 10/24 is the true result because I doubt you would fail the test with 75%

I got 10 right and I'm from the Britain. We did something like this in my sociology class once, and it was utter stupidity, which was the whole point of learning about it in the class. I mean god forbid they could make a test to show a personality of someone to see if they could fit into society well enough or something along those lines, test's like these are such nonsense. I mean bloody hell, What the fuck is a quango, sounds like an exotic dance/animal to me.

10/24 for an Irishman ain't bad. I would have 11 but I refuse to acknowledge Ulster Scots as an official dialect spoken in Northern Ireland. It's about as official as leetspeak

I got 11/24, but I'm not a UK citizen either. (That's my excuse and I'm sticking to it.) I was guessing wildly at most of them...

Thank god im not the only one

7 of 24.
That was a very difficult test. Most of it honestly had very little to do with what I think should be in a citizenship test. The questions about the constitution, electorates in parliament, byelections, public schools, etc. are fine. It's those useless ones about immigration, religion and 19th century history that seem way out of place.

What exactly is that snake cameron trying to achieve?
Fairly sure this started with Blair... who I'm fairly sure, I hate more. *insert expletive filled rant here*

I thought the one about the unwritten constituion was a bit dodgy, we have the magna carta.
Not really... the Magna Carta was more of a charter than a constitution, and all bar three clauses were repealed by about a hundred and fifty years ago.

Irridium said:
Also, what the fuck is a Quango?
Serious answer: Quasi Autonomous Non-Government Organisation
Joke answer: a tango between members of the Upper House...

I'll pretend I didn't read that! =P

OT: Passed, but only just... probably out of luck, 'cos I seriously didn't know a lot of those answers (divorce year, West Indies recruitment office...) and this is fricking political/British social history, which has little to no bearing on how Britons live now.

British, 5/24, Oh yeah.
Also, wasn't the first census made in 1086 by William I as the Domesday Book?

10/ 24 and I'm an Irishman. The only question I'm certain I got right is the Ulster-Scots one. That is genuinely considered a legitimate dialect of English, which you can study at some unis here. No joke. Regardless, I'm not really bothered. The questions largely surrounded things which I doubt even the common Brit knows much about. I pity anyone going up for citizenship.

There's got to be something wrong with it if UK citizens are taking this test and getting scores you'd get if you answered every question randomly.
Here's a couple of proper questions:

9) Sex?
a) Male
b) Female
c) Hurr hurr you said sex - Lose 5 marks
d) I'm sorry, I don't know what you mean.
[HEADING=3]e) Yes please![/HEADING]

Failed, that was a ****ing hard test, I was guessing the majority. Wasn't expecting the question "Why was a recruitment agency set up in 1950's in the West Indies", nor do I understand how knowing that makes me British
Most history lessons in British schools deal with the empire and the bloody textile industry.

But most of those are ridiculous. Apparently to pass you either have to use google or be more British than the Queen.

15/24, for the record. Every date or statistics based question was a guess.
