I'm 15, so I can't vote, but Clegg seems like the best realistic option we have going, from what little I know.

I voted for the Tories. The Lib Dems are too naive and foolish with their policies and Labour created the mess we sit in now from the strong economy the last Tory government left us.

I voted for a major party.

One of our major party candidates (and current MP) is a complete dick who got caught with his dick in someone else's wife, the dick. So not him.

Another one is a complete no hoper, her party (the red one) gets no votes round here anyway, so not her.

So I voted for the other one, not because of their leader or policy, but because she's the only candidate in the area who isn't either a corrupt piece of scum and seems to have a clue.

Also, there is a BNP candidate here, he cannot be allowed in.

I'm not questioning the merits of our workforce but more the back-log of illegals we have. I love that we can be a culturally diverse country but I do get very annoyed when people take away perfectly good fields so they can build a mosque or some other place of worship. I very much like Swedens take on immigration.

To be fair we've taken perfectly good fields and built circles of standing stones in them when druidic paganism was the fashionable religion. Then we decided to build temples to all sorts of gods imported from Italy and amalgamated with our own. And then we pulled those down and replaced with temples to a single deity and his executed son (who lived and died in the Middle East himself).

To avoid going crippling off topic I'll not talk about illegal immigration here, I'm sure there are regular chats about it in Politics & Religion.

Nothing quite as crass as who you voted for as that would probably be illegal, but what actually did you do?

How? You went on a thread about UK politics to complain that there wasn't a completely superfluous poll option to state you weren't from Britain. You could've at the very least discussed UK politics if you knew any, like many discuss politics in different countries without complaining needlessly that "there isn't a useless poll option for me to click on".

I would say "they" rather than "we" because our ancestors imposed our culture on someone else doesn't mean we should let the do it with us. But I agree, lets not get off topic.

Yep voted Lib Dem. Though round here its solid labour so my vote is as pointless as throwing rocks at bigger rocks.

Hope Lib Dem form a coalition government to force through proportional vote reform. Our system is broken and geared to form two huge parties when they dont get anywhere near a majority of the vote.

Not 'new', one of the arguments is that the libs dems are inexperienced, i.e. never governed the country. For a party so old, they deserve a shot at it. (That's not to say that all the parties deserve a chance, the BNP can fuck themselves).

Ah well thats fair enough. As far as I can remember, the last Liberal government was before the First World War. Since its been around 100 years or so I'd agree with them being given a chance, especially with the messes the other two major parties seem to have ended up in.

You don't need your ID, hell you don't even need your polling card. Just walk in, tell them your name and address and its all KFC gravy

I also voted for a major party. My Local MP hasn't done a bad job, not a good one but not a bad one either. The main opposition in my area is a guy who was born with a silver spoon up his arse, has no idea what the local community wants or needs and will do whatever his arty higher ups tell him too.

I can't vote yet since I'm 17 (18 this year damn it!) but my vote probably would of gone to one of the major parties. It would of either been between Labour or Liberal Democrat but leaning more towards the 'ol democrats. Conservatives I..Well it's probably my parents influence but I'm not very fond of them lets say. I'd much prefer if they don't get in. Really I don't trust any of them since I imagine most of them are corrupt but rather have my voice heard to get someone who won't (Possibly) screw me over.

Lloyd George was the last Liberal Prime Minister, and he led us through WWI. However, he and Herbert Asquith, the previous Liberal Prime Minister, who governed until 1916 (Churchill was a Liberal too before he joined the Conservatives, if you didn't know that), managed to split the Liberal party, and it never truly recovered.

I believe it might've been a coalition government though during the war, so the last fully Liberal government was pre-WWI.

i had a 15 hour shift to contend with today what with being more concerned my own job and family than the careers of expenses swindling pish merchants. file under stayed home.

also if the new/old crowd gets it wrong this time, they better hope that UK citizens dont take a leaf out of greece's book. thats a country that knows how to get the message across....although i do not condone the firebombing of police and innocent bystanders.
