I played through it twice in 07 and had all of the treasures and almost all of the medals, so I was really ticked when they said you had to replay it to get trophies. At first I had no desire to play through a third time, but I figured what the hell and popped it back in. No one on my friends list even has a single trophy yet, so at least I'm ahead of the pack so far.

I'll play it again. I enjoyed it even if it was predictable as all hell.
Yeah, like you actually predicted zombie Nazis.
I predicted monsters because it seems it's the only formula that's used for action games any more. It's really starting to bug me.

I know it's a bit of a sideline, but how do you find out if a game has trophies and/or what they are?

I would have thought MGS4 had some... and I've beaten the bloody Foxhound run so I damn well deserve a few!

It's announced ahead of time whether a game will have trophy support or not. If it's a game that's already been released, then they'll release a patch for it like they did with Uncharted.

As soon as I get back to the US of A (in a few days) I'm going to get Uncharted, both from missing out in the first place (money issues) and the trophys :)

So yeah, good times for all!

I never actually completed my first run through. I didn't know that the trophies had been added already, will start a new game very soon methinks.

Achievement Hunter [http://ah.roosterteeth.com/games/ps3/] is a good place to check, a new division of the RoosterTeeth site.

I'm pretty sure that Kojima intends to add trophies, so I'm saving my Big Boss run for now because I'm sure you'll need to play through again to unlock them.

Trophies are not universal - Sony have said many times that if they think trophies wouldn't work, they will not make them.

And sorry mate, even if MGS4 does have trophy support, you'll have to earn FOXHOUND again. Trophies aren't applied retroactively, cause then people could download saved games of the internet onto a USB, and upload them onto their hard drive. This would remove all value.
Actually, I've heard that Burnout Paradise and Warhawk will be getting retroactive trophies, the difference between them and Uncharted being that they both are tied to your PSN account, and it'd be impossible to replicate without signing into your username. Warhawk I think is likely. Burnout, not so sure.

I have only played uncharted for like 30min ever, and would never consider replaying just for the trophies. It kinda sucked overall...

Burnout requires you to sign up an account with EA or something, with that said MGO trophys could be reatroactive because you need to sign an account specifically.

I sure hope so.

I already completed the medals my first time, so I had no incentive to play, BUT, since you get a lot of in-game effects from completing them, I'm sure it was really worth it.

I personally like how everything reacts realistically in the water in the white water jetski levels.
I agree, I did enjoy watching bodies fall in the water and float along with the current for some reason. Oddly satisfying.

Sadly, that's the only good thing about the jetski levels. How could Naughty Dog go from Jak 3, a game with really good vehicle controls and combat, to this?

Seriously, what the hell were they thinking? Random exploding barrels for no reason, unable to move and shoot, it's literally everything that can be wrong with a vehicle section in an action game.
