No. My school is just extremely strict.ThrobbingEgo said:Do you go to an Aimish school?jamradar said:-We cant wear shirts the same color as our eyes
I wouldn't change who I was just because the principal is a control freak and that is the parent's choice isn't it?Grilled Cheesus said:Their school, their rules. You may not like having to wear a work uniform but it is part of life and you really have no say in it other than go somewhere else.
Hehe, that is a good one. thank youGeneric Gamer said:snip
Now compare it to the bad sides:
1. People don't get to express their opinion via t-shirt.
2. Err...
3. No, that's it.

Agreed, when I was in middle school (oh goodness, that was a decade ago...) my school dress code was far more strict. It is what it is. The school votes for it and I believe parents get the opportunity to vote as well (all of my schools have had a dress code and the parents get a vote), though it is likely that few actually do go out to vote on school matters.THEAFRONINJA said:You're allowed a top button undone? Meh, you'll get used to it, and believe me, the rules wont be followed. I'd give it 2 weeks before you guys find out a way to wear it your own way.
i'm not complaining, I was asking a question. I even had a poll but for some reason it didn't show upkurtzy23 said:boo hoo In almost every school in Australia you need to were a proper uniform Get Over It

Sure, school is for learning, not for making fashion statements, but dress codes have nothing to do with learning. I've yet to hear one single good argument FOR dress codes.
Obnoxious hair styles like the 12 inch green dyed mo-hawk.
Underwear sticking out so everyone to see your boxers.
Seriously what happened to the days when if someone had their underwear showing everyone would point and laugh at them.

You didn't hear him did you? It's a PUBLIC school, he can't just "go" somewhere else, that would mean either moving to a new town or paying outrageous sums for a private school, it's absolutely ridiculous that taxpayer money is being used to force something so idiotic on people who may not be wealthy enough to afford a sane alternative.Grilled Cheesus said:Their school, their rules. You always wear a suit or uniform when on a job?Merkavar said:had a friend who left school. but wanted to come hanng out so he put on his old uniform and came and hanged out at lunch timeGeneric Gamer said:5. It makes children outside of school property easier to identify.Alex06 said:snip

uniforms should be worn. at school you wear a unifrom. then you grow up get a job and wear a uniform/suit. then you grow up more and wear another uniform when you play lawn bowls at the local RSL
well you sound like a very shallow person. believing the most important thing taht defines your syle and personality being your clothes.Adam Galli said:uniforms in school is a stupid idea. clothes define our style and our personality. i would have quit school if they implemented them
My school never had uniforms, the dress code consisted of:El Poncho said:I think almost all schools have a uniform.
Shirt
Tie with school colours
School trousers(I don't know their type).
And no hats inside.
Girls can wear skirts, the school trys to keep the length long but no one listens and they eventually give up.
It allows you to spot intruders in the school easier and quicker before they cause trouble.Reptiloid said:As a passionate individualist, I think the very concept of a dress code is ridiculous, and especially hair.
