Starting on the 14th of September. A Bsc [Honours] in either Applied Biosciences or Herbal Science [I'm hoping for the latter].
Straight-to-Masters seem to be thin on the ground in this country, for some reason.

Not technically a University, but rather an Institute of Technology. Not as prestigious as a University, basically. But more scientifically-oriented, so far as I can tell.

I'm in my final year of studying computer science at the KIT (that's Karlsruhe Institute of Technology, a very stupid new name for the collaboration of the University of Karlsruhe and the Forschungszentrum Karlsruhe that the management came up with to make it sound more international).

Off to Aberystwyth to study History.

How strange is that? The two of you go to the same uni, both study history, went there within a year, wrote about it within two minutes and even joined this site within a week. I'll bet one of you chaps is the evil twin of the other.

I'm one of the few who isn't going this year.
For now, I don't think I ever will, but that may change.
Maybe if they weren't forcing me at school, I might have considered it.
And I'm sick of one of my friends telling me I won't get a job if I don't go.

You'll have trouble getting a job even if you do...

I have a friend with a journalism degree who works at Iceland, and a friend who didn't even get GCSE's who is a banker...go figure.

OT: Attended uni briefly(4 or 5 months, maybe), hated it and quit. I was apathetic about it before I had even started, so I should have known I wouldn't last.

I attained 4 years of work experience instead(bartending)which actually turned out to be pretty cool. I socialise at work and get paid for it(and make extra in tips for being friendly), I can also drink if I please.

Horses for courses and all...but, I think we do seriously overvalue uni.

It's a Uni from Romania so I totally doubt you're interested in it's name.
I'll be studying electronics and telecommunications mainly, but I'll have loads of other courses.

Nope.

I'm one of those kinaesthetic learners. Which means that pretty much every western education system considers me useless and not worth their time. And it also means that it's insanely hard for me to do any type of study.

But I make more money than most uni grads. So if you're a kinaesthetic learner too, dont loose heart! There is hope! Even though society says you must go to uni to get anywhere...
