Poll: unknown games

i am soon going to be putting together another forum about unknown games witch i will be posting in a week or so. please respond by saying witch games you know about on the poll.(it will also be helpful if you could tell me about a game that is good but unknown)

Am I right in thinking those games are all very old? Not that that's a bad thing. Just seems like there are fairly recent unknown games, too, that ought not to be avoided. Also seems like the vast majority of very old games are now unknown despite being quite well known at the time of their release, so seems too easy. Same goes for import games that are well known in their native country but never released in North America or Europe.

Here are a couple of strategy games that might not be very well-known: Space Empires 4, Europa Universalis 2. Also Jagged Alliance 2 is in the retro style (low res) but it's on Steam, so more awareness of it. Well Space Empires is on Steam too, so meh.

Psychonauts and Beyond Good And Evil before Yahtzee popularised them.

Lots of good adventure games that are not widely known outside of adventure games circles, like The Longest Journey, Dreamfall, Syberia.

Know earthbound from SSBM,Splater House from an EGM article,Battle Toads from random hardest games of all time lists and River city ransom from Tetris DS.Don't know if they really counts as unknown but good: Legend of the Mystical Ninja, played it on the SNEs but I don't think it got really poupular outside Japan,could be wrong. Maybe the orginal .Hacks,some fun RPGs with a compelling story IMO.
