Napolean Dynamite is funny. It's not the best ever but no one expected it to be good. It turned out to be a pleasant surprise and an indy gem like El Mariachi or Resevior Dogs...though not as violent.

I absolutely hated it. The most boring, unfunny movie I've seen in a very long time, never shall I take a movie recommendation from a friend again.

Of the 200 million people that have seen the film, I still pride myself on being one of the 24 to actually see it in theaters. I thought it was great until about a month after the DVD came out and I couldn't walk around the block without hearing "Can I have some of your tots?"

I rented it out based on all the hype... lasted about 25 minutes before wanting to put my foot through the screen. My housemates agreed, before vowing never to let me pick a DVD again.
