For the Xbox360.
So i Must ask, That game is next on my list of games to get.
LOVED the series, since the first one.
This one looks impressive, though I have also always played them on the PC.
So I Wonder..
Should I get it for the 360, or are there things that Would probably make me wanna avoid the game?
ect. ect.
any thoughts?

No. I recommend you avoid it.

Hang on, let me find my old thread on this game...

And here is a review you might find enlightening...

The single player (as with all UT games) is a lame tack-on which is nothing more than practice. It is completely reliant on multiplayer to be fun. Unfortunately, the online community (on all platforms) is completely dead.

Want a measure of how really poorly this game has done on the Xbox360? Well it was out-performed in sales [http://vgchartz.com/swlaunch.php?reg1=All&game1=Unreal+Tournament+III+-+X360&reg2=All&game2=Too+Human+-+X360&reg3=All&game3=Turok+-+X360&weeks=19] by both Turok and Too Human of all things.

Unreal Tournament on XBox sounds stupid in the first place; no mouse, and how will you download mods? From what I've heard, everyone who played UT2004 still does so over UT3, so there won't be as many players online as you want.

I've always been a fan of the Unreal Tournament series but UT3 just doesn't seem as gripping as UT 2004. This'll sound a bit stupid to you playing it on the 360, but as a PC gamer primarily it feels too "console-ised". I couldn't really recommend it in all honesty.

I'm quite surprised, because IGN gave UT3 a 9.0, and Gamespot gave it a 8.0. Looks like the declining status of the game basically hurt the franchise overall, so that now people just aren't even checking it out.

M$=MONEY WHORES!
Given the tiny size of the community still interested in this game decent mods are few and far between.

I wouldn't bother really. I picked it up a while back (was always a big fan of the UT series) and was found wanting. The singleplayer game is, as cuddly_tomato said, just practice for the multiplayer. Also, the attempts to tack on some contrived war based storyline that just doesn't work.

I traded the game in a long while back (was hard enough to find people to play alongside online then) and used the funds to buy Gears of War 2. Better off sticking with that, really. :)
