Contrary to popular belief, I wasn't born in 1972. I was actually born in 1993. The reason I used 72 was because I chose a random number.

I think it was when I created my first email account, my name wouldn't work so I added my then age to it which was 14, that got rejected so I added another 4, now the names just stuck as my on-line Alias.

Mine are my three favourite numbers, added because just the letters looked a bit boring.

Sort of like username-filler - pointless, and doesn't add anything to the overall being.

Well... uh, my username has "9" spelled out, so I thought I could just include more of them... so that, whenever telling my friends my username, I have a complete ***** of a time doing so:

"Nine Nine Breaker Nine. The number '9', words "Nine" and "Breaker, and the number '9', all one word."

Should've chose something a little easier to say aloud.

For those of you who have numbers in your username, why did you choose that specific number? I chose mine cause I'm born 1994.
Same. Well I was born in 1988, which is different really.....

Gah! I find this so annoying on XBL though!

MaSteRcHeIf0000010222938373734 or whatever. It's a lack of originality.

Depends on the number. If it is a sensible number, between 1 and 3 digits (4 if it is a year) I don't mind them, however if it's just a random string then I really dislike them. I could have had doomdiver in most places but I put the 16 on the end anyway, to do with my birthdate.

I really can't tell you where 5887 came from...

I've been using it since I was 11 so I'm not to sure anymore...

Well my number is really part of the name.

Always thought it was a bad idea to add birth date to username, especially the ones in the 90s. Always figured people would look at it, realized how young you are, and proceed to ignore you for being a teenager.

Wheres the option for them to choose "Because my username was taken and I couldn't be bothered to be original so I slapped a number/s on the end"

Teehee, you know half of them are that really :p

This number was originally because the name was taken and I had to use a number. So I came up with this number, which I am now fond of.
Note: This was not on The Escapist.
