I'm probably just going to sleep through the day. Maybe play some more Far Cry and Halo, waiting for the fucking car to get fucking fixed to I can get to a fucking meeting next week. Being housebound in the middle of nowhere sucks. Maybe I'll try and get a friend to help me get a truck or something.

Doing what I would normally do on a Thursday, so nothing special.

Just treating it like a normal day really.
Ditto.
So I'll be cooking for me and my flat mate and watching BSG.

I have already expressed to my girlfriend that I have no desire to ever celebrate any gift-giving holiday.
I'd much rather do something nice when I feel like it, then when some event dictates that I should.

Lucky for me, I am dating one of the few reasonable human beings on this planet. No celebration required :)
I respect your choice and all, I'm just curious: What if she wants to celebrate?
To be honest, I'm not entirely sure what I would do.
Previous to this relationship, all my other girlfriends had been holiday enthusiasts. And every year, I would go out of my way with some elaborate scheme which usually involved flowers, and chocolates, and sometimes even gifts for their friends who didn't have anyone else to celebrate with.

You can imagine my relief when I found a girl who understood my stance on holidays.
So if she were to change her mind, I imagine I would be greatly disappointed. Especially considering how I would go out of my way on any regular day to make her happy (as she would for me).

Me and my GF usually go for movie night, but sice she is kind of stuck near the North pole for about 5 more months, I doubt it will be special for me this time around.

I'm going out on a low cost date with my girlfriend. It's either that or we won't have enough food for groceries this month. Curse car insurance and it being so damn expensive.

I honestly don't get what's so special about that particular day.
Other than the blatant commercialism probably doing something for the economy, perhaps.
It's going to be a (Thurs)day like any other with Friday possibly being...extra good.

Avoiding Facebook at all costs and, if my housemate has plans elsewhere, spend it by myself.

Working for most of it, possibly going for the first run I've had in a couple of weeks due to an injury, and then playing Dota 2. I think everyone hates Valentine's Day anyway, relationships can get very expensive on that day.

Well, my original plan was "Stay home and cry", but since I started seeing this girl last week that's changed. My plan now is either a double date with another friend and his wife, or a simple private date with me and my girlfriend. Either way is bound to be a blast.

Since for once I have the day off AND a girlfriend, it'll be a fun day.

Valentine's is on Thursday, and I spend every Thursday on campus in classes from 8:30am to 8:30pm.

This means I'll be doing the history of technology and war, math, physics, the history of science and religion...

... and finish in the evening with a once-weekly, three-hour, forth-year history course "The Created History of JRR Tolkien's Middle-Earth" (Yes, really. It's a real history course worth graduation credits and everything.)

Spending it alone, as I do...every other day.
I enjoy not caring about or wanting a relationship. It saves me a lot of time and effort.

No idea. I mean, I'll be turning 21, so maybe I'll go out for a drink, but hell, I might not even be doing that. I have a boyfriend, but I don't know if he wants to do anything.

Treat it like a normal day, except giving my girlfriend a card and some chocolate...
AND I MADE THE CARD MYSELF. ROMANTIC AND STUFF.

I'm a strong independent black woman and I don't need no man! *claps own hand 3 times whilst moving it side to side because I don't know how to snap my fingers* Throwaway blaxploitation dialogue aside, my plans for valentine's day basically amount to a whole lot of nothing, so I'll probably just be browsing the interwebz and shirking my responsibilities as per usual.
