Just wondering how you run your system, standing up or laying down? I had a problem with my 360 in horizontal reading disks, I stood it vertical and it fixed whatever the problem was. I've since layed it back horizontal and it seems to work fine. How does everyone set their system?

I always run all my systems horizontal-- I'm always afraid they'll fall over or something while I'm playing.

Horizontal 360. I saw a friend accidentally demonstrate what can happen when you keep it vertical... I don't want any of that happenin'.

I kept it vertical and one time it fell over and scratched the disk, luckily my local game store was able to fix it. Unfortunately my friend keeps it horizontal and it randomly scratched the cd while it was horizontal too, even when it wasn't moved. So now I keep it vertical with two large boxes on either side of it to keep it upright.

I never seen a need to have a game system set vertically. Most entertainment centers, and tv stands are made for dvd players, and stereo equipment that sit horizontal and don't even have a space for something as large as a 360 or ps3 to sit upright. THey don't look any better upright, unless you like to see the units feet. You also risk the unit falling over that can hurt both the game and the system.

I don't have much room, so I keep my PS2, 360 and Wii vertical. My Dreamcast and Gamecube I don't really have much of a choice.

I keep the PS3 vertical, easier to store and i've never had a problem.

And it does look mighty impressive.

Horizontal 360. I got a disc scratched when it got knocked over, so I don't take the risk any more.
Same thing happened to my Halo 3 disk the night I got it, thank god for stupid store owners.

360, Vertical, sheer epicness, and that and spaces settings allow for it to be stable, sitting between tv and sub woofer, no risk of falling there.

otherwise it would be horizontal.

My Xbox 360 is kept horizontal, since I prefer the safety it gives to my disks.

I'v always heard that having my 360 vertical scratches the discs, so thats a 'horizontal' from me.

Vertical 360. Fits the space properly, disks read properly, cools faster, looks nicer.

Vertical 360 for me as well. Not a lot of space on my desk, it looks better, and my discs have always been fine.

I used to keep my 360 vertical but it'd make the most horrible noise when you stopped playing a game or eject the disk drive, put it horizontal and it was fine. Now my PS3 and my 360 are both kept horizontal.
