When I heard of the death of Osama bin Laden, I couldn't help but think of the operation as some kind of Call of Duty level.
First of all, would there be outrage over this (I think the obvious answer is yes, a la Six Days in Fallujah).
But more importantly, do you think that this outrage would be merited/would it be inappropriate to make such a level/game?

No, there wouldn't be much of an outrage. The people who usually get up in arms about video games would be all for it.

And it would sell like hot cakes.

Better question, would the game be done well or just a crappy brown shooter clone?

If you are making a good video game, make it about whatever you want. If you aren't going to make anything special, go back to the drawing board whether or not the subject matter is controversial.

A game where people kill Osama Bin Laden? I'm pretty sure the majority of people would have no problem.

I say, give it a try. The level of controversy could be potentially less, and if handled REALLY well, this could be a contender for the first major art game in the mainstream mind. I believe so, anyway.

Well, Off Duty Gamers (check'em out) twitted this: "Can you say 'special mission' in the upcoming new ea medal of honor game? HOOAH OPERATORS!"

So... Yeah. That's all I can say.
