On Saturday I bought on a whim Dragon Age: Origins and Darksiders (for an absolute bargain) and I find myself liking Darksiders more than I thought I would after having a few hours spent of Dragon Age Origins and vice versa. I find that when you play 2 different types of games both with noticable faults together it makes them both seem better.

They make up for each others faults and it's more enjoyable.
(I also found that the Prince Of Persia and Sly Cooper Trillogy do the same thing).

Has one else experienced this kind of thing when play 2 videogames together.

Civilization and Total war.

Civ is great and all but I find sometimes the combat isn't appealing. Though it does have a great empire building experience.

Total war on the other hand has the combat and unit construction I like. Although it lacks on the world expansion with its campaigns limited to certain geographical areas.

Not really.
If I plan on playing a single player game, I will play that game pretty much exclusively, with an online game thrown in if I get bored. 90% of the time the games that I segway into have no correlation at all.
