Do you have that card? What games did you play? on what quality?Destal said:512 is enough for current gen gaming, provided that you get a quality one. I would reccomend the Nvidia Geforce 8800 GT. It works really great. However, if you are planning on keeping that computer for a while and don't want to upgrade anytime soon, I would reccomend bumping it up to a 1 gig card.
Yea, that's the card I have. It's pretty cheap these days and for some reason, it outperforms some of Nvidia's similar, but higher quality cards.zauxz said:Do you have that card? Sorry to bomb you like that.

Well, it runs wow at 1080p on my flatscreen with no issue with everything cranked. It handled Doom 3 at max graphics just fine. Crysis started getting choppy at mid high level. I'd say that as long as you don't try turning the Anti-aliasing all the way up on the newer games it would probably perform solidly for a little while yet.
I might be confused here... All I know, is my old computer had 4 gigs of RAM. I don't know if it was in the video card or what, but we made it in like 2004.Naturalized said:What?ajb924 said:I would go with at least 4gigs. It's a stretch, but you don't need to worry about it shitting out.
They make cards with 4 GB of RAM on them? Must have been a quiet release...
Ohhhhhhhh Sorry about that, didn't know there was a difference. I dunno how much mine had. But 1+ would probably be enough in that caseNaturalized said:Yeah that's called main system RAM. Completely separate.ajb924 said:I might be confused here... All I know, is my old computer had 4 gigs of RAM.
