My vote is a direct result of my parent's taxes, as it is then a direct result of a part of my rent while in college.


Hence I voted McCain, better the devil you know--that and living in AZ kinda takes the surprise away...

I've seen a ton of Facebook statuses dedicated to promoting a Barack vote today, though pretty much all my friends are Canadian, so I don't know what that says about 'em.

Bah, all my friends' statuses are dedicated to McCain. I suppose it's to be expected in South Carolina.

I've already been out to cast my vote for Obama.

What scares me is, I'm in NJ, and there are a lot of statuses on my friends for McCain. Just when I thought Obama would clinch it, friends who I thought were liberal are saying how great McCain is and quoting McCain's attacks on Obama verbatim. *sigh*

Oh, I'm a minor, so I can't vote, but I would vote Obama.

Im not a die hard McCain or Obama supporter, but throwing bile around, particularly on a public forum after explicitly stating you "aren't trying to attack anyones beliefs" is asking for someone to start arguing back.

You do realise that Obama himself will not be performing any abortion himself - he lacks the medical expertise required to do so. Therefore, Obama will not be killing any babies.

I'd like you to define "all types of abortion" - is he okay with me driving a machete into a pregnant woman's stomach? No? Oh, then he's not into all types of abortion, is he.

They should have the same control that I do. They did something wrong, yes, but they're not less of a person because of it. If they went through the prison system, then in the eyes of the law they have fixed themselves enough to be a regular citizen, as someone stated earlier.

Also, I believe most people in politics are criminals after some fashion, typically one that if they get caught would make them felons. The only difference is that the ones who can't vote got caught. If anything, I would prefer to know what they think. It would help as a sort of pseudo-moral level. "Murderer X believes that Candidate Y is a great person. Maybe I should look into his past a little more."

Well in America prison isn't about rehabilitation its about taking you out of society for a little bit of time. When you have 50%+ of release prisoners returning to jail its not rehabilitation.

If I was old enough to participate, I would vote McCain. However, I wish that Rudy Guiliani didn't run out of money during his campaign, because I would have loved for him to be the Republican candidate. It is rare to come upon a politician I actually like.
