... there's bullets with built-in radio? wow.
I don't know if there are, but what doesn't have built in radio nowadays? Besides, I think being hit by a bullet would be much more comforting if it played AC/DC's Thunderstruck.

So... was that a yes on the secret facility access?

...what? I'm sorry. I couldn't hear anything over my entire theory on the likes and dislikes of males and females being blown to smithereens. Thanks a lot, now I have to start all over again.

I have absolutely no idea on which major would help with what, but I can offer my support in whichever one you choose. You sir madam(damn, does that take getting used to) are going to be living the fucking dream. I think we need a round of applause or something.

I think it depends on which heavy weapons specifically:

There are heavy weapons like RPGs, Missile Launchers, Machine Guns, and for that Mechanics
Heavy weapons like Artillery, Missiles, Warheads: Electronics

Think about what goes into what you want to make/invent. Basic Handhelds would need mechanics, but attachment like Thermal and such would reuire a bit of electronics, and large weapons will require both as well.

But Im no expert, so dont take my word on anything. Im just looking and thinking!

Hmm... this should classified as a career under "defense contractor." I have no idea how the UK military gets its weapons, but in the US, the US military buys weapons from civilian companies (aka Defense Contractors, i.e. BAE Systems [http://www.baesystems.com/Careers/CareersinYourCountry/UK/index.htm], a British DC). I honestly can't recommend you either course, but I'd suggest you look up the job listings on defense contractors' websites that contains the keywords "weapon"and "engineer" and see what qualifications are needed.
