I am pretty new to all this and virtually missed the Wii's release, and I know I am not the first to find the name odd, so, can a Nintendo fanboy out there explain to me what the name means? If you aren't a nintendo fanboy, feel free to mock it once more.

But anyway, it's not a very good name, but at least everyone got used to it. Same with Kinect. It seems like code names for things are always better than their real name, except for the Dolphin/Gamecube.
