Recently, my friend and I were discussing Mythological and classic horror monsters, the conversation went through the usual order (Dragons, Vampires, Werewolves, Zombies, ect.) when an idea struck me: A zombie apocalypse type scenario, but with a virus that creates werewolves, instead of zombies.
There would, of course, be a few changes, I.E. The werewolves wouldn't require silver weapons to kill them. Instead, werewolves would be killed by either a corrosive agent (fire or acid), or by something that either severs the head, or destroys it (Machete to the neck/shotgun blast to the face).
My friend and I decided that it was an idea worth pursuing, but I wanted to get other people's opinions on the subject before I poured any more time or energy into it. So, what do you think? Could a book/movie/game with a "Zombie Apocalypse" type scenario work with werewolves?
