to coincide with all this WOW stuff i have seen i decided to make a EVE topic. Please don't be put off by all the text.

SO that people who dont play eve feel included these are the races:

A state built on corporate capitalism, the Caldari State is run by a few mega-corporations controlling and ruling every aspect of society. Continual competition between the corporations ensures a healthy, consumer-based social environment, which benefits everyone.
While the Caldari State may not be nearly as big as that of the Gallenteans, let alone the Amarrians, they are still universally feared and admired.

Self-righteous, meddling, pompous and tiresome, or virile liberalists and defenders of the free world. Love them or hate them, you simply can't ignore them. Everybody has an opinion on the Gallente Federation, it all depends from which side of the table you view them. For many, it is the Promised Land, where any dream can become a reality. Descendants of Tau Ceti Frenchmen, the Gallenteans remain strong believers in free will and human rights, despite numerous setbacks in their long history.

Of the four major races of New Eden, none has endured more turmoil than the Minmatar. Once a thriving tribal civilization, the Minmatar were enslaved by the Amarr Empire for more than 700 years until a massive rebellion freed most, but not all, of those held in servitude. Modeling their recovery after the Federation's success, the Minmatar Republic was born. But despite rising to prominence on the world stage, more than one third of the present-day population remains enslaved. They will forever resent the Amarrians, and yearn for the days before their accursed ships ever reached their home skies.

The Amarrians rule a vast Empire, the largest and oldest of the four empires. Ruled by a mighty Empress, this vast theocratic society is supported by a broad foundation of Minmatar slave labor. Amarrian citizens tend to be highly educated and fervent individuals, and as a culture adheres to the basic tenet that what others call slavery is in fact one step on a spiritual path towards fully embracing their faith. As a result, the Empire remains the most stable and militarily powerful nation-state in New Eden, despite several setbacks in recent history.

And here are the ships of eve (sub-capital)

So what race are you what do you play/would you play
what ship/s do you fly mostly
what alliance/corp
and where do you mostly "hang"

for me i play Caldari i fly drakes, ravens, manticores and i'm training for a tengu. I'm part of the Northern Coalition (which is the best "alliance" in eve) and i hang around pureblind.

I played long ago. I rolled a Caldari character and played for years. My first common combat ship was the Caracal armed with Assault Missiles and I basically handled anti-tackle duty. Eventually, during the Nano Age, I started flying a Cerberus with Assault Missiles and took part in many a raid. Eventually I got bored shooting missiles at stuff and started traning in Amarr. After the nano-nerf I flew Zealots and Harbingers for a time. By that point I had maxed out what I could do with medium Caldari/Amarr (Cruisers/Battle Cruisers) and I started training to fly a carrier.

Eventually I had the myself a Chimera that saw occasional duty in fleet operations but after the horrible grind that marked the transition from smaller to larger ships I lost interest. My 700 million ISK CNR and ~3 billion ISK chimera are currently collecting dust somewhere along with at least a billion isk of other assets (including 3 harbingers, a drake, numerious crummy t1 frigates/cruisers spread across the galaxy and my old reliable (and original) Cerberus).
