Personally, I don't have any. I would like to know what you guys have a fear of.
If you could, please comment on how your fear came about.

If you have more than one, list your greatest fear for the poll.

Well, of the ones stated, it'd probably be Flying. I don't go running or something, but I do get a bit jittery whenever I'm on an airplane.
I lean back and turn up my music, usually I'm fine then.
But I just hate that feeling of no control. If anything were to happen, there'd be nowhere to run. I hate that.

Another thing is diseases like AIDS and Hepatitis C, I'm kinda scared of those because they're so... permanent.

My fears tend to be more existential (or pretentious, you choose). The concept of eternity, the possible worthlessness of my own life, the futility of existence, that sort of thing.

Spiders. That is the only thing I know I am afraid of. It's odd, though..I'm not afraid of any other type of insect or arachnid, but spiders frighten me.

Mainly bugs/rodents/spiders. They are so small they can just sneak up on you in you sleep. Maybe I'm just a bit parinoid. Also the concept of overlarge bugs and rodents scares the hell out of me.The mutated bugs and animals were horriblely freaky.

Edit:public Speaking as well,I'm horrible at it and the ocean, that is full of things that want me dead.Maybe it's just that fear of the unknown

Jerry Seinfeld on public speaking:

"They say public speaking is people's #1 fear. Death is second. This means that at a funeral, people would rather be in the coffin than giving the eulogy."

Personally my biggest fear is dying without leaving some kind of mark on the world, either in the form of a business I start, a son I leave behind to carry my name on, or (if all else fails and I start getting old without having done anything useful) a horrible, unthinkable crime I commit that gets my name into the annals of great psychopaths (hey, Adolf Hitler would've just been a bumpkin from the Austrian sticks but now nobody will ever forget his name---seems easier to do evil than good.)

A thousand times yes. Whenever I'm out swimming in the ocean and I no longer can feel the sea floor beneath me, I freak out and swim back to shore.

I can't freaking see what's around me, and for all I know there can be octopus, jellyfish of sharks with laser beams attached to their heads waiting to have a snack.

No, I'm OK with death. I would much rather live (obviously) but I don't fear death at all.
~Frosty.
Then Allow me to make you fear it.
Try to imagine not existing, as such you dont even feel anything or think anything, Not even silence there is nothing. And that will be there for Eternity No escape No exceptions.

Also in a less creepy sence if you didnt fear death even a little you would be dead as you would do somthing stupid and die. Fear of death is Instint every one has it on some level.

Yeah, I've pondered that around in my magnificent brain many times and reached a conclusion.
If you don't exist to the point of feeling and experiencing nothing, there would be no entity to feel that nothingness.

Good point though.
