lol I play Medic! I suck at shooters, and it's about the only class I can play without dying within 5 seconds every time. If I'm feeling particularly lucky I might pick Heavy every once in a while. But playing literally any other class I die in seconds.

Sniping is a good job mate. Its challenging work. Out of doors. I guarantee you'll not go hungry. Because @ the end of the day as long as there's 2 people left on the planet someone is gonna want someone dead.

In case the above wasn't enough of a hint I play Sniper.
You're a crazed Gunman, that's what you are!

Your mother and I are not happy about this... not at all.
Yah, Dad. I'm not a 'crazed gunaman' I'm an assassin

...

the difference being one is a job and the other is mental sickness!
*Fixed*

Question.
Did you buy the game or are you a free player?
What does that have to do with anything?

OT: I switch between heavy, pyro, and scout, depending on what the team needs.
A theory regarding the logic and selfishness of free players.
I think the random-drop-rate needs to be adjusted to favour team-playing much more than mere play-time.

For example have a "team score" that comes from things like:
-extinguishing enemies
-killing enemy that just inflicted high damage to ally
-playing medic AT ALL!
-spy-checking
-killing disguised spies
-sapping enemy sentries close to allies
-your dispenser being used by team mates
-giving sandvich to injured allies

I don't know to what extent this is done already but players definitely need to be encouraged to do this sort of stuff more often.

Fair enough. Though I'm just going by my own experiences. I have less then 5 hours under sniper and scout, and I haven't played Pyro since they gave him the airblast.

I just seem to never have problems killing those classes when I play, unless I'm ambushed at low health. That and I'm not too good of a scout, unless it's an emptier server for some reason.

I used to play much more engineer but after having a large break from TF2 I play most classes equeally.

My favorite class is definitely the Pyro. There's something about sneaking up on a group of enemies and setting them all ablaze that's very satisfying to me.

I also like playing as the Heavy, Medic, and Engineer.

I have never thought about doing that before. It could actually be really handy if any Medic who's healing me is low on health.

Thanks for the tip!

See this is my problem, the game doesn't do enough to teach the user base how to do these things.

Sure, I know because I'm anal enough to get into forum debates on TF2 tactics and strategy, but Valve needs to inventivise the teamwork elements as unless you are in some sort of clan it is pure chance if you work together as a team as there is no coach and little effective voice communication.

I play pretty much any class well. My favorite three are Soldier, Scout and Medic, followed by (in no particular order) Engineer, Heavy, Pyro and Demo. I dislike sniper and spy, because they're one-shotting noobfests. Seriously, all noobs and all newbies play sniper/spy for the one-hit kills, and it's a pain in the crack. But it gives me ample opportunity to level my strange weapons on their bastard asses.

Sniper and spy - the classes for whom fighting honorably, like a man, is completely optional. I mean, why give the enemy a chance? Surely, it's more skilled to catch them unawares than kill them while looking them in the eye and letting them know that even their best wasn't good enough.

Ha-ha-ha...

Depends completely on the team layout and map. But I like Pyro, he can do some serious burst damage.

There are many classes, all playing differently. My favorite class is the Sniper. Picking people off from so far away, that they can't see me. What is your favorite class and why?

I'm not sure, I wanted to try it but it looked like too much of a Brink clone, yknow?

KIDDING! I like sniper ^/^ I have a soft spot in my cold cold heart for headshots lol

Medic as much as possible, elsewise Pyro or Scout. Can't seem to get the hang of Soldier, though.

I take back what I said about the Scout. They are extremely fun to play. I still think Pyros are a bit UP though.

I play Engineer, Heavy, and Medic.

I have to say I'm fairly good at Engineer and Heavy, and I'm not completely incompetent as a Medic.

I mix it up mostly between Scout, Pyro and Medic. Less then that is Demoman and Engie. Less than that is Soldier and Heavy. Then almost never is Spy and Sniper... i suck at Spy, and i don't like being a Sniper

Love the engineer, and I play him almost obsessively, ever since I got the wrangler.

The spy, the heavy and, believe it or not, the medic, are all great classes though. I pretty much stick to those four, other than the occasional experiment with the Scout.
