"Being a cheeky ****" that was what usually got said before taking a swing at the other person's head
How can that be cheating? You are both looking at the same screen and your vision isn't constricted to your side. I'm presently looking a video on youtube on one screen (my TV) and I'm answering you on the forum at the same time and can keep my attention on both. The Spartan E1337 said:I call it screen looking. yeah, its a bad habit of mine as well. however, i always specifically look at who they are shooting at (because i usually look when they are shooting), so i try to not make my habit an unfair advantage by picking out their spot on the map.Julianking93 said:I just say "I can't help but look"
Seriously, how am I supposed to keep my eyes averted?
This is the only name I've heard it go by. Also applies to LAN / internet cafe parties and games where dead players can spectate the positions of the enemy team (e.g. CS:S, obv with the death cam settings still on with no restrictions)Soviet Heavy said:I've heard it called "ghosting", since you can see where your opponent is and stalk them.
Hehe, my brother would do that all the time too. I found that I could use it to my advantage by deliberately looking at something random so that he would get confused or view a weird angle of something iconic in the map so that he gets drawn to it, making for easy killskortin said:One of my friends call it "Screen Hacking". Because you're not supposed to do it. Just because you can doesn't mean it is allowed. It isn't a matter of whether or not it's possible, its whether or not it is considered fair. For example, I could knock the controller out of his hands when we play, but that would be cheating. If we are trying to hunt each other down, he has a huge advantage because he knows where I am by looking at my screen. I could do the same to him, but it is less fun for me, so I don't.Akalistos said:How can that be cheating? You are both looking at the same screen and your vision isn't constricted to your side.
