Sell them, assuming they are long RPGs with low replay value. I sell a lot of RPGs...

I keep it for awhile jusst in case I want to play it again. Some games however I will sell when I don't want to see it sitting on the ground collecting dust.

Left 4 Dead 2 and Assassin's Creed Brotherhood are two such games right now.

I keep them, put them away and most likely play them again in a year or two's time. Unless the game was terrible and I definitely wouldn't play it again, then I sell it/trade it in.

I rarely play a game more than once. Usually it takes a well put together RPG or a RTS to keep me playing more.

Games like Oblivion, Saints Row 2, Fallout 3 and the Civilization franchise tend to stay on my gaming shelf. Everything else is usually forgotten.

Keep them, I won't get a game unless I believe that they are worth keeping. Games are far to expensive for anything else.

I used to sell games after I'd beaten them. But eventually that started biting me in the ass when I wanted to play some of my old games again and I had to either rent them or buy them again.

Not really a bad decision since game retailers rarely ever make it worthwhile for me to trade in anyway.

Keep them. Usually, if I like it, I try to beat it again in a different way, either through getting achievements or by trying to do things I missed or doing it on a harder difficulty or as a different class, etc.

I also keep games I don't beat (because I dislike them) because I never know when I'll want to take it on purely for satisfaction.

I keep them between a badass set of antique bookends that are shaped like globes on a shelf near my computer. I like to think one day i'll have a study and i'll line it's walls with them lol.

I never sell my games, even if they are the worst, most unplayable piece of crap under the sun, i still keep them. Although i have obsessive compulsive hoarding disorder, so that may have a say in why i do it, because i do own a few games that are beyond terrible, and ive only played them for, say, 20 minutes each. Yet i still keep them. I even have double copies of some games.

I have 3 copies of Forza Motorsport 2's because of back in the day when almost every Xbox 360 console came with a copy of them game. I have 3 Xbox's because my father seems to think we need one in every lounge room in the house... and also the dining room >.<

I very rarely get rid of games - biggest regret was getting rid of Chaos Theory.

Never again.

I usually keep them. It's always nice to have the option to go back to a game when you want to play it. That and I have bought a LOT of games off of Steam, meaning that there's really no other choice for me.

Keep them. I sold my PS1 and my 20ish games for it and really regret it, same with a bunch of gameboy games. I rarely sell games anymore.

I keep them. With very rare exceptions, I usually enjoy games the second time through, because at that point I know what I HAVE to do, so I can spend more time on what I CAN do. I can also pay more attention to the little interesting bits of a game's story and/or universe when I'm not having myself bombarded with the big stuff.

I think the only exception to that rule in recent history would be Alan Wake.

Ill rarely sell a game, and if I do ever give a game to a friend, I ask for it back once they have beaten it, but leave the offer for them to take it back whenever. Did I mention in my group of friends, we ALL do this. It cuts down of cost by a crapton (Im very precise in my measurements)!

Most of the time I'll replay a level I enjoyed or thought too hard, then I'll just pack the game away then play it who knows how long later.

Money is far too tight for me to just keep games sitting on a shelf. Blockbuster have a deal here where if yu trade in a recent game you can get a brand new one for £14.99 instead of £40. Aha says I, that'll do nicely.

As a result, I'll get a game for £15, Black Ops for example. I'll do what I want to do with it, complete it, get as many achievements as I can, then take it down, trade it in and get Dead Space 2 for £15.

Some games I have kept, mainly because their trade in value isn't worth it now and I know I can get the 1000/1000 score on them when I go back to them. Viking: Battle of Asgaard.

I don't really see the point in collecting things. Movies I rent or wait untill they come on TV for free, Games I work on a constant cycle of trading, Books I borrow. I don't like spending money on something for it to just sit there.

I usually try and play around with other modes and achievements, so after beating a game on normal I might immediately jump back in on the hardest setting it will let me.

Apart from that I leave it until the storyline and mechanics are a little duller in my mind, so that going back to it feels more like getting an old friend back than more of the same :D

Depends on the game. I've played through Resident Evil 5 dozens of times. Some games I just want to get to the end to say I have beat it and never pick it up again.

Edit: Also, to get out of the game a whole playthrough. The game has something to offer, and I often want to see the story to the end. That and achievements.
