Current laptop runs on AMD, wished the drivers werent so buggy.
had to deal with BSOD's for a year or so because I couldn't find out why the display driver was causing issues that made Windows throw a hissyfit.

It ended up being their Catalyst program beign a huge derp and didn't install some of the nescecary binaries.

Still, it is better than Intel. Which is the equivalent of a cactus up your bum.

I have one foot in each camp. Just going by PCs owned by me (not counting family PCs):

First PC was primarily a study box, so it only had the onboard graphics chip. That was later upgraded with an ATI graphics card, which worked fine until the PSU died.

Second PC was a gaming rig with a nVidia graphics card. It was great, apart from it overheating occasionally (due to the case having poor airflow). After a while, it got annoying (and also cost me a prize at a lan) so my friend let me use a slightly less powerful ATI card that ran a lot cooler.

My current rig is running a nVidia GTX 760 and I have no issues with it at all.

...I guess this makes me a traitor to both camps, then.

I have no brand loyalty.

I go with the one that performs the best and has the most features available that I want.

For the past 3 generations that has been Nvidia.

I selected Nvidia only because all my systems have Nvidia, that said I don't have an issue with AMD and would buy if there were gaming laptops with their hardware in them. I can't buy what's not being sold. Generally I go for what gives me the most for the price offered, so I'd go any of the 3 (yes I do game with my i5 tablet and it's not completely useless......)

I've used both at different times, but I have been using NVIDIA recently since I got a G-Sync monitor. Plus I find NVIDIA tends to provide better drivers and support software. That said, we need AMD in the industry to keep NVIDIA on their toes, so I hope they come out with some good cards and stay in business.

I am a Nvidia man.

Way back when Knights of the Old Republic came out it ran horribly on the aging ATI 9250 I was using at the time, it was honestly like a slideshow at times. Swapped it out for the technically weaker GeForce 4MX and the game ran brilliantly.

Since then I confess I've never considered moving away from Nvidia products.

Was using lots of different brands.
After pre 3D my first devices where ATIs like 3D Rage.
From there my journey was to GeForce 2 MX models, Radeon 7500, 9000, 9500, 9700 PRO, X1950, 4870 and then back to nVidias 280, 295, 580 and finally to 980.
ATI/AMD was my favorite because of its price for the power. This lacks since about 5-6 years.
That's why I'm now on team green :D

For me its the card with the best performance-price ratio.

Right now thats AMD.

Mostly i've gone for Nvidia in the past since they're just easier to understand. AMD needs to establish a naming standard thats newcomer friendly, like Nvidia do.

I'm very torn on the subject. I want there to be competition in the market, and as with both sides of AMD, their processors and GPUs struggle with high temperatures, which restricts how much oomph you can get from them.

Knowing this, I favour Nvidia (and by extension, Intel), but I hate how heftily priced their products are. I'm currently not in a position to splurge a lot on computer hardware, but I don't want to go for the cheaper options, because I'm all about the performance and numbers and power! And numbers! Fuck playing games, all I need is greater NUMBERS! So that my NUMBERS are greater than everyone else's NUMBERS so everyone will worship my NUMBERS! That is until something new comes out.

Looking forward to the release of GTX 1070 and me wanting to justify such a purchase. I've found the premium range pricing of Nvidia shocking, as it doesn't seem to me the price tag justifies the performance, so in this case I've usually settled with the X70's of cards.

I guess once AMD solves their GPU issues, they'll probably offer fairly powerful cards as well. For now, team green for me. I like the colour green better as well.

I prefer AMD, but I've been stuck with nVidia for the past generation :(

Come on AMD, get your shit together!

I'm a little funny when it comes to Green Team vs Red Team. All my desktops my built for my own use have Nvidia cards in them as I personally prefer the technologies they offer, the performance and the drivers. However almost every PC I build for someone else have AMD cards simply for the old 'bang for buck' mantra. Maybe one day someone will give me a few thousand dollars to let me play with and build them something special but the fact that my sister's R9 280X is starting the fail could be a hint to change tact. Of course it's more likely ASUS' fault in this instance.

I just sincerely hope that AMD step up their game in the high-end/flagship market.

nVidia is completely wiping the floor there for the last several generations, which has now resulted in their latest x80 card being $600-700 and their latest Titan coming in at $1200 (motherfucking $1200!!). And this Titan is for gaming only, not double-precision capable like the original Titan...which was also cheaper at $1000. What the actual fuck.

Right now and for the longest time I have been rocking Nvidia though I will be switching over to a FirePro next week as I desperately need the large memory banks.

I've had two PC builds, one with AMD and one with Nvidia. Switched to Nvidia because I was sick of just how hot my 7950 used to get, the more demanding games would push it to the high 80s, low 90s and I was always on edge because of it. It put me off the Red Team really. Plus I really like Adaptive Vsync and only Nvidia offered that when I upgraded (no idea if AMD has anything equivalent).

Really glad that the RX 480 etc. are shaping up to be really good mid range cards, and I hope AMDs new flagships can really bring the fight to Nvidia. Competition is only a good thing and I absolutely would not be adverse to buying an AMD card again if I liked the look of one of them.

I built my PC a few years ago with a GTX 660 and upgraded to my current card which is a 770. I'm close to pulling the trigger on a 1070 so I guess you could say I have thus far declared for green team. Both of my cards have been rock solid so I see no reason to switch. I could be persuaded though if AMD puts out a card that gives performance more akin to the 1070. I don't see the point in going to a 480 right now. If I wanted 970 performance I would have bought it last gpu cycle. If I was doing a new build for a moderately priced gaming pc? Sure. But AMD has no presence in the higher performance bracket right now that is a true alternative to Nvidia.
