Poll: What do you think is the best MGS game?

I thought that i'd make a poll about MGS seeing as it is an amazing game series. Personally, I think MGS4 is my favourite because it was so amazingly made and it had a great storyline.

One and Three were good, have yet to play 4, and two REALLY confused me, almost to the point where I just gave up and made up my own story as I went along.

havent really played any of them for an extended period of time, mostly just tried them out when hanging with friends who have them, but i voted for 2, cause it has the best music in my mind, and yes, the theme song is in all of those after it, but 2 was the first one with the song, so it gets my vote

Since 4 is the only one I've played, and I absolutely loved MGS4, MGS4 gets my vote.

However, do any of you guys know if they still sell the MGS complete pack? The one with all the MGSs 1-3?

I thought MGS2 was the best; it had the weirdest bosses - the best setting and fitted the story well.

I haven't played MGS 4 because I didn't buy a PS3. (and haven't played it enough to make a judgment.

I find this one really hard, I think it has to be between 1 and 3, although I was delusional enough to think that 2 was better than 1 for a while, simply because of the end sequence. But I am probably going to have to go with 3.

Shite I don't know how to do spoiler tags on this, but anyone who played it knows what I mean when I say you had to do it yourself. The bloody cutscene stopped just so you had to pull the trigger. That was deep, and it also showed the creation of villain who you can sympathise with.

EDIT: crap I actually don't know now lol. One was amazing, I think its a tie between 1 and 3.

This is suprising. Not just that Metal Gear Solid 3 is unvoted for, but that someone actually voted for Metal Gear Solid 2.

Agreed on the MGS3 front. It is a very close second for me. For me, 3 introduced properly the epic, emotional attachment you (or at least I ) form with the characters. Also, Harry Gregson- Williams' music is superb

I'm gonna say 3. I loved the first one, hell, I almost chose it right now, but the fact remaines that I loved EVERY metal gear a little more after playing the third one. It delivered on so many levels.

MGS1 out of nostalgia, but since I've yet to play MGS4 (I don't own a PS3 nor can I afford to buy one) and don't really consider the portable ones part of the series, MGS3 was the best overall game (given what I've played the first three and I eagerly await MGS4 porting to the 360).
