Poll: What do you think of the new L4D2 survivors?

I don't like them that much. The thing with the old ones was that you instantly knew their personalities because they where direct stereotypes of what they where supposed to be.

These new ones was not so much of that. The guy talking in the beginning of the trailer sounded like some gangsta but all you saw was some fat man in a yellow shirt, can't really get his personality.
The others seem a bit the same except the one with the suit who seems to either be some poker player or just a generally rich person.

Then there is the girl and that guy who looks like the scout from TF2.

I love them. I'm not sure why, but something about them screamed "I AM A NICE CHARACTER DESIGN" to me. Chances are it was just the stylistic design.

Of course we aren't going to get their personalities, all we've had is a 1 and a half minute trailer. And the guy speaking isn't a gangster, he's a redneck, thus being a fat guy in a yellow shirt.

I don't see why everyone has so much hate for this game in general, especially for the new survivors. Why the hell would Bill, Francis, Louis, and Zoey, who live in Pennsilvania, escape the zombies in New Orleans. They already escaped the Outbreak there. Besides, people are already judging the games characters from a 1 minute teaser. Let's get to know them first before we decide to hate them. Who knows, they might even turn out to be much more likable than the original Survivors. Thank you.

I liked the previous 4 to be honest. But since this makes me sound racist, I will say that I give the new ones a chance to impress me. And since the game is by valve, they probably will

I do like the hill-billy mechanic. He mentions in one of IGN videos that he loves horses. Wonder if he'll be the antithesis of Francis.

Honestly, I think they should have taken the stereotypes even further. Like, a CEO, a busty porn star, a deliverance style redneck and a stepford wives style housewife.

Maybe you didn't watch E3 or maybe you don't know anything about EA, but as stated by Valve, the timing is not up to them, they do not normally do this, they were forced to by EA. EA broke out the whips that Valve should've expected when they released a hit game for EA. It's the way it works, sell your soul to EA and this is what you get. Expect bugs and glitches due to EA rushing Valve. At least with Valve we know they'll fix the issues that the game ships with.

The Black guy you hear is an ex High school coach and obviously had a religious grandmother. The Suited man is apparently a gambler and a con man, the scout-esque character is a mechanic and the woman is a news reporter who got caught up in it all. I'v already chosen suit man to be character, Hes got some zombie slayin style about him. Like em or lump em their here to stay (probably, maybe not the first character got changed about a bit) and the dialog is apparently going be alot better so Im sure they grow on people much like Louis, Francis, Bill & Zoey did.
From the improvements I'v sen Im very excited for this more improved L4D as I still constantly play the first one since release Bit of a fanboy for it but a flexible one at that.

I approve, new characters means some clever person can make a good version of the 8 player servers.
