Poll: What do you usually do while listening to music?

I always listen to my music while driving. I find it extremely calming to go out for a solid hour of driving while listening to my music. I don't even drive with any particular destination. I usually do it at night and on a road that's not very busy. I don't do it too often since gas is expensive.

Otherwise, I'll listen to music whiling gaming, sleeping, browsing the internet, or while simply lying in bed and relaxing. Music is a huge part of my life and it's very rare that I am without it.

ITunes is open pretty much any time I'm at the computer. For example, as I type this, I am listening to Andrea Bocelli, "Con Te Partiro."

I have one of the big iPods that I bring to work with me. Radio in my town is garbage. You can have:
70s rock
emo-screamo
country
other country
pop that can best be described as auditory diarrhea ("Oh god, it won't stop, it burns, why does it burn??")
oldies

and that's it. Each station has maybe 30 songs they just cycle over and over and over. A twelve-hour shift means you're going to hear that playlist at least ten times, which can get REALLY fucking annoying when you don't like the stuff to begin with. Holy depressing, Batman. I'd take silence over any of that. Fortunately there's iPod.

Different things, but mostly I just listen to music. Sometimes I'll read the lyric booklet/liner notes/look at the artwork inside while listening. Sometimes I'll dance to it if it's danceable.

I tend to find that I either don't pay enough attention to the music to really appreciate it or it ends up distracting me from my task if I'm doing something else because I'd rather be listening to the music. If I'm doing something else, then what I'm doing is probably travelling. I do sometimes listen while at work, but it's mostly ambient or none-classical orchestral music (mostly soundtracks) so I don't get distracted and start rocking out.

I usually listen to music during commutes, or when I'm cleaning.
I don't like listening to music while working or playing games because I lose focus on what I'm doing.

Usually when I am going through a particularly boring section in a game. It just makes it slightly more bearable to get through.

Otherwise I fill the gaps in with music, ie browsing the internet, travelling. I find it hard to listen to music and read at the same time though, so it gets paused quite often whenever I am doing that. Super handy that my keyboard has a media shortcut on it.

95% of the time I listen to music is in the car or walking somewhere. Back when I commuted to college, I easily had a fifteen minute drive to campus and about another twenty to thirty minute walk to class. Without music those trips would have sucked.

The other 5% is when I feel like jamming. I'm either at my Dad's and alone or at my house with no neighbors and home alone, and I just blare music. Great way to pass the time.

Other than that, I have a tough time just sitting down and listening to music.

Oh, plenty of things. Mostly I'll listen to music while playing building games (like Terraria and Minecraft), but also while browsing the internet or writing. Occasionally I might just put Pandora on and kick back on the couch to relax, sometimes with a book.

I rarely listen to music, but when I do, I usually only do it when I'm drawing.

Whenever I'm on the car, when I'm cooking, when I'm cleaning, when I'm browsing the Internet and while I'm working, eh pretty much any time that I don't need to listen to something else, it's good to have music.
