Poll: What draws you to post in certain threads?

Well I myself scan the latest post list and just read threads that fascinate me. A lot of it is the title. If you have a clever title, I'm hooked.

Low post counts help, its always nice to be on the first page.

But an interesting subject is also good, probably better.

Obviously the title is a big selling point, but I usually click on any new threads I see. I then post based on whether or not I have something actually worth saying.

I only post if I actually have something to say. I'm also drawn to threads with low post counts.

It's a toss up between the title/topic and the post count. I usually won't comment on things that have more than 2 pages of posts, as I don't want to sift through all those posts to make sure I'm not saying something someone else has.

Interesting title and a low number of posts.

Once something gets to be several pages long I almost never can bring myself to post except in reply to a reply of one of my posts.

I think it's mostly because I find myself compelled to read every post before leaving my own and that becomes extremely tiring very quickly.

Especially if the thread is politically/socially charged in any way. You know, the threads titled with things like "OMG GUNS BAD", "Health Care Reform", "Socialism VS Capitalism", "Humans All Suck And Should Die In Large Numbers Except For Me Because I'm Somehow Better Than Everyone Else" and my personal favorite "You Fucking Americunts Are Stupid And Wrong About Everything And Even Though I've Never Been To Your Country And Understand Nothing About It's Politics Or Society I Hate You Anyway."

Considering that every post in those threads is full of hooting dung-flinging madness no matter what side of the debate someone has taken trying to slog through all of them to get to the end just to add my own isn't something I have to motivation or energy to do on a regular basis.
