Poll: What is pie?

There are meat pies, the one and only, and then there are sweet/fruit tarts and slices. That's how I've always seen it.

But then I live in New Zealand, the home of delicious meat pies, bro. They're sweet as.

Doesn't that sentence need another word? Sweet as....lemons????

Either you're not familiar with Kiwi slang, or you're trying to say that pies should have fruit in them, in which case shame on you!

I'll go with both.

"Sweet as" means something? lol

In New Zealand, we have a habit of saying something is "whatever as" but not completing the saying. I think it's a way of saying it is exactly the same value as the word itself, rather than something else.

So instead of "Sweet as pie" we'd just say "sweet as." It can also work with other adjectives, like "Cool as" or "mean as".

Just to over-complicate everything there. In other news - pies are delicious.

Club games are on a Saturday. Sheep shagging is a lie created by Australians who are jealous of our superior farming land and are trying to distract everyone from what happened in '81. Although some of those Southlanders are a bit sus.
