One thing I liked about D&D 3.5 was the array of alignments they made available, and I was disappointed when 4E trimmed it down. So?

In real life or in D&D? In D&D, I'm chaotic neutral. In real life, probably neutral good, or, perhaps, neutral neutral.

I'm an ender. When I die, the universe ends. When I finish my task, the universe ends. No matter what the universe ends.

According to the test, I'm lawful good...?The fuck?!

Here's a quiz I did ages ago if anyone's interested:
http://www.wizards.com/default.asp?x=dnd/dnd/20001222b

I always get chaotic neutral.

I often played Chaotic Good in my D&D games (Rogue or Sorcerer depending on which DM we were with), but I'm probably leaning more towards Neutral Good in reality.

Reality: On average I probably vary between Neutral Good and Chaotic Good (maybe Chaotic Neutral when I'm in a bad mood).

In DnD: I'm usually either Chaotic Good or Chaotic Neutral (someone's gotta be the badass anti-hero, and that is usually me...at least I like to think that).

Neutral Good of course. Only because I believe some laws and case law are backwards and retarded and made for no other reason than for policy.

Neutral Good. I'm more loyal to people than to principles, but just try to get me to do something illegal without there being benefits for someone important to me. Or to break a promise.

The definitions of Lawful Neutral and Chaotic Neutral read more like those of <url=http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/LawfulStupid>Lawful Stupid and <url=http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/ChaoticStupid>Chaotic Stupid.

Hm, neutral/chaotic good, I'd say. I'd be more likely to go with what I feel is right than what the society thinks, but that would also depend on what kind of society we are talking about. Laws in some countries are just wrong and dumb, and for example slavery used to be legal in many countries that would see it as immoral today.

Just accepting the law as morally good is not responsible, but at the same time if you break the law you would need to be ready to face the consequences, and if possible to try to change things by legal pathways.

Chaotic Evil.
I agree on the part that they shouldn't have taken away part of the alignments.

I'm probably Chaotic Neutral, especially when I've had more than 3 drinks. I excel in making the non-pc decision and refuse to apologise for it :)

You need to get a better system. That's an extremely narrow, simplified and hindering alignement system.

The closest match I can think of for myself would probably be chaotic good. But I have a lot of lawful traits, many would see some of my views as evil. So, yeah.
