Don't think of it as a bad thing then. Why do people seem to think of being single as sad depressing and lonely, it really isn't.

Im currently "dating" tho id say its a long term relation ship which has been goin on for about 16-18 months, although there was about a months gap where we werent going out. We missed each other I guess, it was complicated, and still is at times as she is ill ALOT so it often means I have to put up with random crap, while I understand why and such its not the best feeling at times.

EDIT: Im only 17 almost 18 but still. Those saying that they are 15 so not really had chance or stuff... just give it time, I find its really to do with maturity... if been dating since i was 12/13 years old.. but finally in a long term relationship.... i think its just finding someone you care about alot and just love to be with.
