I mostly play my PS3 for all the latest releases, my PS2 for some old games and my DS for playing Pokemon, I probably play my DS the most so I would say this is my primary console.

Mine is the Wii but it is not entirely of my choice. Don't get me wrong, I still like my Wii and the games I do have for it but since I have played all systems, I would like to play most of my games on either the 360 or the PC if I have a big enough memory for the games I want. But, due to funds, all I currently have is my good, old Wii.

Kudos to the OP for recognizing the Wii exists...that's rare for The Escapist.

Most of my life the honour has gone to the Nintedo console of the generation. However, since my discovery of Steam sales a couple years back I use PC. So long as my computer can keep up with new games without video card replacement, it's far and away the least expensive gaming platform for me now.

When this computer gets to old in a couple years, I suspect the PS4 will take it's place as my main.

Yeah, prefer most games on my big black monolith computer. The only games I prefer on console are usually in third person and side scrolling/fighting.

I put PC but that only happened around last year when I got access to TF2 and a good computer. Before that DS would definitely take the cake and even now I still go through phases where I spend more time playing on that then on my PC.

Wow, that's interesting that the poll options are completely in line with the results. PC, then 360, then PS3, then Wii, then mobile.

In any case, I'm 360, because I don't have the cash to buy a good computer. My laptop is basically strictly for school, internet, and Minecraft.

Used to be Consoles, PC right now because of Steam and inability to visit game stores.

Also, cue the endless sea of QQ over platforms and walls of flames!

On this forum, the majority is no doubt going to be PC. Mostly because the majority of users here are PC gamers. While I'm one of those 'n00bs' who prefers using a controller and having a machine dedicated to gaming without having to worry about system reqs and such, I have been doing a lot more PC gaming lately (mostly because I've been getting a lot of newer games for cheap/free due to the new Steam Trading system). I'd still I'm a console gamer by nature, even if I'm one of those weird ones who hates online gaming and only really plays the SP mode of games. But each platform has it's ups and downs.

But basically, I'm mostly a 360 gamer. I prefer the feel of the 360's controller over the PS3, and the Wii doesn't have much of anything I'm interested in. On this forum though, you're going to get a fairly vast majority who say PC. Just like if I were to go to a Nintendo forum, the majority would likely say Wii/DS/3DS.

PC ... the only thing that I don't have to buy an entirely new one each few years and can still play the previous versions at will. Also, it does taxes.

PC, because my PS3 died in a fire (and my gaming PC too X.X) and I only have this old office computer that has trouble running Freespace (a game from 1999 I believe) 1 on maximum capacity, so it's all I have left, I still use it to play but only old games (only old game I have left is Freespace 1 so by that I mean I still use it to play that), haven't played a new game in a while, so I wonder how all these fancy new games play. *goes back to playing Freespace*

My PC without a doubt. My PS3 has lost favour this past year and my 3DS is still practically brand new and it doesn't really have the games for me to decide its worth.

I wish I could say it was a console that I play (the mention of the SNES made me remember how I used to play console games back in the day), but I'm so strictly a PC gamer now, it seems impossible to even pick up a console controller. Back in the day, I had no problem hacking and slashing stuff in Zelda, then jumping on the PC and blasting things in Jedi Knight. They were two different worlds and I loved them both.

PS3 as primary, Xbox 360 for the few exclusives i'm interested in (not even bothered hooking it up to the internet). And the Laptop for a few older pc games when they spark my fancy. (Bladerunner, Shogun Total War, Freelancer, Fallout 1&2 and AvP 1&2)

PS3. Got a new laptop a year ago come the 25th, but it isn't powerful enough for newer games. Only bought it for Valve games, so not a big deal.

None. I don't favor any particular platform.

I frequently alternate with every platform I own, all of which I have hooked up simultaneously (or at least as close to hooked up as I can get, as I don't have a dozen different inputs to plug into at once) and the version I buy of any game varies drastically on a per game basis.

I'm with you. I now have absolutely no idea how to hold an N64 controller after not touching one for nine years.
