What motivates you to post in threads on the escapist? For me, when I was a newbie, the lure of shiny badges caught my attention and got me interested in these forums. Now, I post to pass time, to contribute and to express my opinionated opinions. Badges contribute a small amount to this but I've almost grown out of this.
Also, what did you begin posting in? Forum games? Comment on videos? Saw a particularly outspoken religion/politics/troll thread that you just HAD to retaliate to? For me, it began with videos like ZP and Unforgotten Realms but then I moved on and found out how totally AWESOME this site is.
