This poll is for an examproject about youth and such.
I am to make a product of some sort alone or in a group, so I need to know how many of you escapist users who uses either laptops or stationary computers, and if it's used with cable- or wireless internet connection, so I can figure out if the project my group and I are thinking about is usefull for others.
If you choose option 5/6, please specify your problems.

It would be nice of you and usefull for me if you would answer my poll.

Wireless with my desktop.
Wireless works fine, doesn't drop connection every so often and stable pings all around.

When my internet dies it's the routers fault, not the wireless connection.

I think most PC gamers still have desktop PC's with cables in them, purely because they consider it more reliable. So you're probably going to end up with a lot more of cable+desktop than you might have in other forums.

Anyways, voted stationary with cable. Don't have any kind of cable problems really, I don't even know what they are.

Desktop with wired connection. Cable is a bit misleading as it can refer to how your internet is delivered (as opposed to telephone lines).

I use this set up because; A. My Desktop is more powerful, and cheaper than a laptop and B: a wired connection is more stable, secure, cheaper, easier, energy efficient, and faster. Good old Cat5 UTP.

Bwah, Firefox!
You know using a cable from router to computer doesn't actually make your internet faster right? The connection is (probably) more reliable though. The limiting factor in download speeds is always the external connection!

Couldn't agree more about firefox though! Not that I would mind using another browser, but I already know all the keystrokes to use firefox, don't want to learn any more!

Wireless laptop for me.

Also, on the browser issue: Firefox for the win. I've got IE, Chrome, Safari and Opera installed as well, but Firefox is the only one I use for non-work-related stuff.

IE can go suck a turd, both for professional and personal use. Things would be so much easier for me if people would just stop using it...

Need an 'other' option. Got a laptop with wireless internet, and a desktop PC with wired internet (no cable problems).

Currently my primary computer is a desktop with a wired internet connection. I have used a wireless connection in the past, but I'm finding the wired connection is a lot more reliable.

Got a good ol' Big Tower from 1994 - bought it 1996 with an awesome 486DX4 100 and equally awesome 64 MB RAM inside - with enough space for 2 mainboards, 4 drives and 8 HDD's nowadays.
Hell yeah, baby !!! ^^
Had a laptop once, but since I ... well let's just say that alcoholic beverage and electronic hardware are somewhat incompatible.
Cable 2.2 Mbit/s and Firefox.

If I can I will always use a wired connection, it's faster and generally has less connection issues.

What perks does Google chrome have?
It used up more memory than rival browsers, and as the sales rep in PC world told me "more is better right? amiright"?

Opera is KING!, fastest slimmest browser available.

OT, my PC tower is connected to the phone hub and the laptop uses the wireless as does the PS3... and the ehPhone and Wii

Laptop and a wireless connection; which drops out, and needs the router to be reset, around once a week. It's the router that fails and not the wireless, I know this because a housemate with a wired connection has his internet fail too.

I am a student living in a rented house.
