Everyone loves a good party but what makes a great party?

Music that isn't so loud you can't talk, and good people to talk to. Food and drink helps too, as well as music that's worth listening to if you choose to.

I would say a combination of all of the above.

The only one that doesn't matter as uch is the venue.

A perfect combination of most of the above. Good snacks, good friends, good games, good music clean safe venue. Lots of planning and preparation go into a good party, but the best always turn out so great!

A sufficient number of consoles and controllers is the most important thing in a party. Games are fun, whether they are with friends or enemies.

Restraint.

Whether it be restraint with regards to alcohol, sexual behaviour, dickishness, or drugs...some sensibility is always a good thing.

I think the people is the most important part. If the people at the party are fun to be with it's automatically a fun party. But if you have good food/drinks/music/host/entertainment you can make a party that is just "fun", legen-wait for it-dary!!

Good people. You could have exotic booze, free weed, great music and food, entertainment and a panda sneezing in the middle of the room, but if everybody there is an asshole, it would be a shitty party.

Coincidentally, I've only been to one party that I liked. High school sucks =/

Depends what you want.

Pre-18 (drinking age) house party = Lots of booze. Even things that might be booze but you're not sure.
Post-18 house party = Your buddies and the best entertainment. We once had a party where we talked and tigers by David Attemborough was on. You can do it with anything.
Family party = The whole family minus uncle nob head.
