Poll: What multiplayer game should I get first?

Been looking for a good multiplayer shooter/fighter to play with my buddy, and since time is money, and I'm short on money, and money takes time, and time takes too much damn time, and I need games to fill time, what game should I get first? (sorry about the rant on time)

given what you have on the list, i'd say gor for Left For Dead. i don't have it myself, but i've experienced most of the others, and i certainly wouldn't recomend them to my worst enemy

I would have to agree with L4D. The only better than killing zombies in games is killing humans as zombies in games.
Also...you should try Team Fortress 2. Not for a console though, since Valve isn't releasing any updates for them for an unknown length of time.

I voted Left 4 Dead, but for variety's sake, I'm going to recommend the HD Remix of Super Street Fighter II: Turbo. It's awesome, it's pretty, it's rebalanced, and it's online. The netcode is the same thing we're seeing in SFIV, so lag usually isn't a problem.

If you're playing with one buddy make it a fighting game. I'm a fan of the Soulcalibur series. L4D is more for playing with out of town friends and is best if you can actually fill all four slots with people.

if you're just going to play a friend, than i hartly recomend resident evil 5. the co-op in it is great, and you will also have plenty of fun playing solo

Playing games with a buddy as against online I would infact say SSBM.... You can't go wrong with that.

Same you haven't got a PC, because the first and only multiplay game you'll need is TF2, find a good server and you'd be as happy as Larry. Heard its poo on consoles thougth.
