Atheism ins't a religion

Actually in technicality it is, and atheists hate it when you call it a religion, even though in the back of their heads they know that they're following one.


Agnosticism ftw mates. Unbiased is the best way to go.

Probably already said before in one of the many pages of this thread, but Atheism isn't a religion, because the meaning of the word "Atheism" literally mean's "No theism".

Theism:
1. the belief in one God as the creator and ruler of the universe, without rejection of revelation (distinguished from deism ).
2. belief in the existence of a god or gods (opposed to atheism ).

Thus we have no belief, only disbelief until said claims can be proven.

Because Jedi isn't a religion, it's a Code. That's why it's called the Jedi Code; so it's more like a philosophy, like existentialism.

It is arrogance to think that we know about even a small percentage of what the whole of Reality is all about. The Universe with all it's billions(trillions? Who really knows?) of Galaxies is so huge and vast it is beyond the true comprehension of any human mind. The Human race is so arrogant it makes me laugh. All we can do is stretch ourselves to reach for what is real in front of us. We find what is real when we are alive. That is the job of Science and Reason. After that? Well, that is known only to the dead.

I am from a Christian family, however i became an Atheist once i reached the age of reason.
I had quite a few reasons for giving up the religion thing but I'm not going to get into them here. Suffice to say the concept of religion just seemed Illogical.
