You just awnsered your own question. This is about consoles, not handhelds.

The reason that many pc gamers have the wii as secondary instead of the wannabe pc(x360) is the same reason that people rich enough to afford a second car will always buy a car that handles exactly the same as thir old car, even if this means skipping much better but different alternatives in favor of a piece of shit; familiarity to the controls. That is, untill they realise that the bloody thing is too weak to actively track a location, going for 8 directional gestures instead and essentialy being the world's largest d-pad. The same applies to all the attachments they keep bringing out for it.

I once had one too.
Then i found out how much i had been ripped off.
Now i'm the happy owner of a GeForce 8800GTX.

I own a 360 - I prefer it because im too poor to afford a decent comp, and I prefer the online to PSN.

No its system and the PSP/DS are handheld systems. If it was consoles the PC wouldn't be up there.

360 for me. I actually own a decent PC (quite recent graphics card and all those other bells and whistles), but I find myself drawn to that white brick in the corner of my room like a moth to a flamethrower.
I do own about the same amount of games for either platform though, so I guess it's a phase thing. My PC will probably get back on top the moment RA3 hits the shelves.

Also, I'm a friggin' achievement whore. Oh sweet, sweet ecstasy when that familiar *blink* sound rolls out of my speakers.

Bioshock and Prince of Persia are both on the Ps3. It also has inFAMOUS, LA Noire, LittleBigPlanet, Resistance 2, Motorstorm : Pacific Rift, Gran Turismo 5, Killzone 2 (have you seen the multiplayer footage?), the next Ico project, Heavy Rain, Massive Action Game, White Knight Chronicles, and more. Any one of these would act as justification.
I never saw the appeal of Killzone. I played the original for a few hours with a few friends, but it felt like playing the original Quake. The bigger the gun, the better, no drawbacks, little strategy. But I never played single player, so that might be worth it.

I also don't get the appeal for LittleBig Planet. Regardless of how intuitive and creative making new maps is, its still limited to be a platformer/puzzle game. Good times had by all, but I just can't see it being the biggest thing since 3D graphics.

Resistance however, was pure awesomeness. Creative design, some ridiculous weaponry, and addictive gameplay.

Heavy rain looks good, but I'd take it with a pinch of salt (they were responsible for the travesty known as Farenheight/Indigo Prophecy).

Massive Action Game sounds good, but in past experiences chains of command rarely ever work.

I haven't really played any racing games in a long time because the more realistic they get the less entertaining I find them.

I tend to play action, FPS, and TPS games on my 360, strategy games on the PC, and RPGs on both.

Okay, just a little tinsy-weinsy little nitpick right here. You can make more than just a platformer/puzzle game. I don't know how much I have to stretch that out to reach everyone here, but you can make things other than platforming levels. You can make racing levels; first one to the finish line on wheels wins. You can make last man standing levels. You can make soccer levels. You can make capture the flag levels. By god, how many times do I have to tell everyone? I'm starting to feel like Indigo here.

Oh well, as I've said before my main platforms of choice are, in order, PS3 PC and Wii. Played a little bit of 360 but wasn't very good experience.

I actually meant you cannot make it into an FPS (maybe a TPS if you're creative), a Diablo-esque dungeon crawl, an interactive narrative, or an empire builder like Civilization. I think I'd use the Warcraft 3 Editor more than LBP.

Pfft, well if you're that narrow minded that you can't go 3 seconds without something exploding them I'm glad I won't see your levels ;O i can understand if you don't think the game's for you, but atleast know a bit more about it because you can make it into something other than a platformer because of what you can do with it and more.

Good for them. Can you alter terrain? Can you make a chain-lift for platforms? Can you make racecars? Can you make a Penis-Volcano that spews out lava? I think not :p

As posted else-where, thinking about a ps3, but short-term replaying STALKER on the PC, in anticipation of the (prequel) sequel.

having said that, my mate's got a wii, and is VERY happy. I refuse. (under pretending to be a 'sensible' gamer). (and he has a fiance to be wii fit)

Adding an extra dimension would be horirble to the game and just make it like every other level editor only more complicated and not target casual AND hardcore gamers, just hte hardcore. Plus, it's more of a 2.5D :p

Your right Hardcore gamers don't like 3D FPSes as seen in the terrible sales of COD4 and Halo 3. LBP isn't that casual you need to use the PS3 controller to play it which is confusing to most casual players (like my mom and your mom and alot of the wii's target auidence which owns the casual market). We will see if the LBP really does appeal to all out sell Halo 3/COD4/Mario and Sonic go to the Olympics

Xbox 360 for myself. Since I got it around a year ago I've played it more than any other gaming system in my house.
