Yes he is quite fun, it's strange though because I get huge adrenaline rush when playing Spy.
I don't think you're alone.

I think it's because it's so knife edge. All it takes is for someone to turn around at the wrong time or for someone else to get suspicious and poke you to see if you bleed and then that's it. It has to be split second life or death opportunism and seconds of delay can get you killed.

That said, there are also bits where you're trying to play mind games with the other team which are very thoughtful. Choosing who to disguise as, for example or getting medics to heal you without suspicion can be a whole minigame unto itself.

Probably demo, just because I use him the least. Most classes are well balanced though, so I wouldn't want to remove any.

Am I the only one who wouldn't mind the soldier class being gone? That seems to be the one class that, if there is a pro playing him, I can't kill at all. Can't get him at close quarters because of direct hits, and can't get him at long range because of his rocket jump.

The Demo man.

He's the only class with no truly defining weakness and he causes stalemates. Peple would bawww but the game would be better without him as all the other classes capable of area denial (Engineer, Sniper, Pyro) have clearly defined vulnerabilities that the Scotsman does not.

Soldier. It fills the same basic function as Demoman, but sucks more.

Get rid of the Engineers.

JUST DO IT.

Forever.

Fuck them and their turret camping ways. I'm gonna sit behind my turret in the corner of the room with a dispenser, and infinitely fix my turret and heal myself!

Not only would I hate to remove the sniper the least, I would like to remove those stupid head-clickers.

Listen to them. So proud, so cock-sure; prancin' around with their heads full of eyeballs.

OT: Though it deeply shames me to condemn him (because I too am Australian), I would probably pick the sniper. I enjoy the class, and I like to think I play him in moderation, as I spread myself over all the classes; but the sniper seems the most contrary to the fast paced close-range style of the game in general.

Though I would like to note that I would prefer no class is removed, and that the class I hate the most is the Soldier.

A bad soldier fills the air with rockets and occasionally gets lucky.

A good soldier juggles you in the air and humiliates you in a spray of gore.

Bloody soldiers.

Sniper.

For the love of God, them.

All they do is sit outside of a spawn point. They don't capture the flag. They don't capture the point. They don't push the payload. All they do is kill other snipers. Take Snipers out, and now we don't have the same four people, standing outside the spawn point, claiming they're pretty good as they're all wiped out by one Spy.

Aw, no love for Engineer?

I prefer playing as a combat engineer myself; rush ahead, placing mini-turrets and putting my shotgun to good use.

Surely that's not so bad, is it?

If most engineers played like you, that'd be cool.

Teleporters are important for keeping the pressure up, though.

I cannot think of one class to remove, the game might fall out of balance. but if I must, scouts. They are basically rushers, and not too strong.

This. I tried TF2 for the first time a few days ago. As a COD fanboy who's read endless threads about how unbalanced MW is, I was surprised to find that TF2 had a class pretty much dedicated to camping. It's actually even worse than camping, cause at least a camper has to aim and pull a trigger.

The last map I played, and probably will ever play, consisted of me being on a team trying to capture a point. I'm really bad with maps so I was just following my teammates, who repeatedly lead me to a bottleneck at an outdoor corridor that turned 90 degrees. Around the bend was apparently the entire enemy team at a distance, including a huge turret (at least one,) a sniper, and a demoman. The demoman would just approach the corner, spam nades blindly at the corner, and run back. To complicate matters, it was quite an adventure just getting to the bottleneck, as there was a spy in our territory mass-murdering my entire team. I'm pretty sure he just hid behind various corners and waited for people to run past, because I never saw anyone when he killed me.

Then again, the idea of objective based maps rubs me the wrong way, to the point that in hundreds of hours of MW play I haven't even tried any mode other than team deathmatch.
TF2 seems to be based around objectives.
