So i've got £100 from family for xmas and i've been told to spend it on myself. Well the only trouble is i'm not sure what to get?

I also have about £100-£150 left from my pay.

These are the items i am interested in:

5.1 Home Cinema
To run my PS3 and Media Centre PC through, but i'm not sure. A half-decent one starting at £50.00 on amazon, but i'm not sure as means running cables round my living room and i'd rather use it on my gaming pc(sadly though, thats tucked in the corner so speaker arrangement would be a problem

1080p monitor
We wanted to get a tv for upstairs, well my current 19" monitor has a built in tv tuner, so i was thinking of buying a 22"+ 1080p monitor for my gaming pc and take this one upstairs with a freeview box. Tempting at just £150 for a good monitor or maybe a bit more and get the 3D monitor and specs from NVIDIA

Graphics card
some of you may have seen recently that I was tempted to upgrade my PC from an 8800GTX and AMD Athlon X2 6000+ and getting a ATI 5770 card, but not sure its worth it as my cpu would then bottle neck it

Buying lots of games
Maybe I should buy lots of games for my PS3 or PC?

Save it.
Get something better, bigger etc

What should I do?

Get a sweet monitor.

End of thread
The stereoscopic Samsung one with 3D Vision from NVIDIA or just a standard one?

I've seen: http://www.amazon.co.uk/LG-W2361V-23-inch-Monitor-50000/dp/tech-data/B00261VAMI/ref=de_a_smtd

Get a sweet monitor and the GFX card(s) to do it justice.

Which sort of lends itself to the "save it for now" choice, I suppose.

I think i'd go for the monitor. But i'd ask myself which one i'd most look forward to getting and base my decision on that.

New monitor. You're 8800GTX will do you well for a good while longer. It's a pretty decent card. Lasted me a good long while so far and will continue to.
