Ok, since the 7 Deadly Sins are going we need balance. The 7 Heavenly virtues are Chastity, Temperance, Charity, Diligence, Patience, Kindness, Humility. They each have their counterpart with the 7 deadly sins. So, Which one are you? (vote for the one you embody the most)

I must say I embody quite a few of these. I actually have all but Chastity and Charity(even then this one is only partly true).

note: CHastity isn't just talking about sex. It is talking about anything sexual. From what I can read that is counting kissing, lying to yourself and others, and staying "uncorrupted" in general.

But if I had to ........... Heart maybe?

Well, I'll say the same thing I said on the sins thread:

Each of these virtues will apply to us at some point in our lives, just as each of the sins will. I suppose that that is what makes us humans so diverse and interesting.

OT:people say I'm a very patient man.Maybe because I wait a month or two after a game comes out to buy it.

Oh god, I'm humility, so much. I don't think I've ever taken a compliment.
I hear that. I'm terrible at taking compliments.
I can take an insult no problem (yeah, screw you too), but a compliment? Can't do it.
Not even 'thank you'. I just can't.

I once had a roommate in college who had an epileptic seizure in our room. I got on top of him, cleared the debris from around us, held him on on his side so he wouldn't swallow his tongue, and got my other dumb-struck 'just standing there mouth open' roommate to call 9/11. As he was getting in the ambulance, I ran, got his girlfriend of the time, and drove her to the hospital to see him. His parents got there, and I was asked to come in to answer what I could for the doctor. His parents and him were thanking me like crazy, and I've never been more uncomfortable in my life. Nothing else comes close.

I thought about picking Chastity, because I haven't done the deed yet. But I still think Kindness represents me better. I think I'm ultimately a fairly decent person, even if sometimes I get a little bitchy.

The one that fits me best would be temperance, but there are a couple others that would also fit. I always try to stay in control of my emotions though, so temperance is what I'll pick.

No, that isn't just talking about sex. It is talking about anything sexual.

Patience is the only one that seems even moderately accurate... I'm egoistic, aggressive and lazy... However, I can wait forever to fulfil my egoistic needs!

I was kinda hoping this would be about the Virtues from Legend of Zelda (Power, Wisdom, Courage...HEY! I just got a thread idea!), but whatever, this works too. And I'm going by what's on the Pedestal of Time in The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past:

The Hero's triumph on Cataclysm's Eve
Wins three symbols of virtue.
The Master Sword he shall then retrieve,
Keeping the Knights' line true.

So I think they are technically Virtues.

OT: Chastity, no question.

My patience knows no limits. Earlier today I stood next to someone in a waiting room & was fascinated at how much he seemed to need to move around. I think it comes from finishing written exams far too early & having to spend the remaining time either asleep or resisting the urge to write on the desk.

Temperance stands out. During high school I was virtually immune for peer pressure; I never got drunk, even though everyone did and asked me to do it too. I never smoked cigarettes even though they were on some occasions literally shoved in my face. Sure this all made me a pariah, but I never gave in. The few occasions that I did (usually involving bullying) I hated myself oh so much.

Kindness comes in on second place. I always try to make other people as comfortable as possible, even when that means neglecting my own duties. Like at work I barely can refuse it when someone asks for my help, even though I've got other stuff to do.

Third is Chastity. While I don't technically wait before marriage, as marriage doesn't mean for me what it means in Christianity, I do wait for real, true love before I want to have sex. No casual sex, no one-night-stands, not even kissing with someone I don't truly love.

Honourable mentions go to Humility. I can take compliments, but only for relatively unimportant things. When I do something important to help someone out I usually diminish it with a "Ahh it's nothing" or "Just trying to help/doing my best."

Entirely aware of the irony of proclaiming his own humility(1).
Temperance(2) right after- I don't do anything but drink caffeine, and I frequently test to ensure my ability to stop.
Chastity(3) afterwards, technically, but I just don't like the thought of having sex in general; I'm not 'holding off'.
And also the rest of them, to varying degrees. To be fair, though, I got basicaly the same (All seven) for the sins, too. So I guess I go to... earth... when I die...?

I have no libido. Medically.
I think the choice has been made for me.
