Really, I'm just unsure what I should choose. Thanks if you can offer any pros/cons

Also, my PC isn't built for gaming...

Edit: I don't remember what the other thingy is. I just remember that when I was looking at the website, it said PS3, 360, PC, and some other thing.

Bethesda games always seem to play better on the PC.

Hands down.
I'm sure it has nothing to do with the mods...

I'll be playing it on the PC and am wondering - what is "That other thingy" I can play Skyrim on?

Just for the tons of FREE mods, PC. Once you're done with the game, play it as an entirely different game with mods.

Is there another option? Like: "What is Skyrim?"
Good lord man! How can you not know that Skyrim is?!? Skyrim, the next entry in the unbelievably fun Elder Scrolls series! Skyrim, the game that will no doubt significantly lower my GPA! Skyrim, the game that may cause me to orgasm so hard from its pure awesomeness that I'll have to go to the hospital!

OT: I'll be playing it on my 360. I guess I can't know that the PC elitists aren't right, having never played it on a PC, but for those like me who simply can't afford a nice gaming rig, playing it on console is the only option. And since my console is a 360, that's what I'll be playing it on.

What are these "mods" you speak of?

As for that other thingy: You didn't hear about the new release of the total immersion simulator? Its supposed to be like a holodeck you jack into or something.

Xbox360.
Forcing my current pc to run it would be punishable as Assisted Suicide.
And unless I win the local lottery, I don't see a chance for a upgrade.

I'm definitly going to buy this game for the PC. Currently I am looking for a nice replacement of my current PC. The reason I am getting this for PC is because of the free mods. I figured that out when I played Oblivion on PC. I started out buying Oblivion for the Xbox, had a great time and poured alot of hours into it. Then a couple of years later I wanted to get it for my PC, but by a mistake I bought it for the Xbox once more ...DAMN YOU XBOX CLASSIC BOXES, DONT LOOK SO MUCH LIKE PC BOXES!!!
I then waited until 2010 when I bought Oblivion over Steam and figured out that playing the game with mods makes it so much better. Seriously, there is some fantastic mods out there. An example of this is tjere is a person out there who created the land of Elsweyr (south of Cyrodill), with beautifil landscapes and locations. If you are interested I can provide you with a link ;)
That is just one great mod, now image 100 other mods like this.
But to answer your question. I'll get it for the PC

I beleve that "That other thingy" is that OnLive device. At least that is what I think. Dont know if OnLive will actually have Skyrim :/

Why, the 3DS, of course.
The only reason I see to do that is if it's the only way I can play it or it's the only platform that supports 3D. Even if I have to miss out for like a week, I'm not going to play Skyrim on a handheld gaming device while unable to play it on my computer (like when I'm on a vacation).

Honestly... I'm not sure. It depends if I have $850 or so to spend on a gaming PC by November. maybe I will, maybe I won't. College might just strip me of everything I've ever held dear(mostly money).

If I don't have the cash I'll just get it for PS3

PC for me. My PS3 has turned into a glorified Blu-ray player since I got my gaming PC built.
Same. Skyrim would definitely breathe some life into it.
