Given that my computer is getting rather old now and I can't afford a new one at this time, I'm probably going to go with the 360 (assuming it's worth getting at all).

When I do get a new computer, I'll take a look at the kind of mods people will have made for it. If I like what I see, I'll probably get it again for the PC.

What are these "mods" you speak of?

As for that other thingy: You didn't hear about the new release of the total immersion simulator? Its supposed to be like a holodeck you jack into or something.
A mod is basically a cheat, only possibly more fun. You can do stuff with them and stuff... For example [http://planetelderscrolls.gamespy.com/View.php?id=41&view=Articles.Detail]

EDIT: Also, this [http://www.nehrim.de/indexEV.html]

My PC probably, if it can handle it. I think it will though, it seems that games are starting to reach a certain ceiling when it comes to system requirments. I like that.

XBox 360, because the only way I'm getting this on my parents' computer is if I pirate that shit, and I don't hate the gaming industry enough to pirate their games. No, not even the shitty ones.

Though in some far-off time of myth and fantasy where I can afford to upgrade or replace my own PC, I would like to get a seperate decent-powered computer and use it exclusively for gaming, because it would finally allow me to use fan-created mods that I can't use on my XBox. The only thing that fucker's hooked up to is the TV.

PC. Modding, ************. Always better, even if I can just put music into the game. Somehow, music from Chrono Cross fit abnormally well in Oblivion.

Unless I just happen to recieve a shiny Alienware laptop in the next few weeks, I'll be playing on my 360. I doubt my current laptop has the power to smoothly run Oblivion, let alone Skyrim.

Actually, this is a great question. I love the Elder Scrolls series and have played every one of them from Daggerfall onward on the PC. In my experience, the PC has always provided a MUCH more intimate way to soak up the culture and beauty of Bethesda's world than any console (probably something to do with the distance between couch and TV, or maybe it's just the psychological barrier of living room vs. den?)

Anyway, I'm now in the awkward position of either having to buy a new PC just to play Skyrim, or doing the economically sound thing and picking up the PS3 version. Maybe I'll just move my PS3 into the den...

Unless my laptop suddenly gets a hell of a lot better in the next few months, I'll be getting it on the 360...And getting it on PC as soon as it can run it.

PC for me. I played Morrowind on the PC and loved it to bits. And I never really even got into the modding community (too young). I played Oblivion for a wee bit on Xbox and it just didn't draw me in as much. Maybe it was the game, maybe it was the platform. But I wont be taking any chances with Skyrim. PC hands down.

I'm not sure my PC will run it smoothly on the highest settings so probably Xbox. But I would prefer it on PC as Bethesda games usually are better on the PC.

I know what mods are goofy. The whole post was a joke 'cause I figured you where joking when you brought up mods. That's kind of a given when talking about Bethesda games for the PC.

Is there another option? Like: "What is Skyrim?"
The other option for you, isnt much of an option. It is mandatory. We will burn you on a stake for your heresy. Please add your home adress in a post replying to this one. :p

OT: On a more serious note :p I'll be playing it on PC and I recommend those that either have a good PC or can afford one, buy Skyrim for PC. ES games have always ran better on PC then on consoles, better graphics and better controls = Awesome Immersion and game experience.

I know, I'm horrible at using forums.
